dream261
Hello, I was just wondering how do we receive tax form from Fiverr. I don’t think I was asked to share my mailing address when created profile. The income was over $1000, so I know I have to pay taxes on it.When and how do they send it out? By e-mail? Or we should fill out our own 1099-misc?I’m not native to the USA, so this process is already hard enough for me, and I get very confused when tax season comes around.I can’t find clear answer about it anywhere. Can anyone answer and describe the process in detail so we all know what to do? Thank you!
eddiethornton
Technically sellers are not employees, they ate independent contractors and are responsible for their own records, taxes, etc.
dream261
Yea, I understand that. But do they send us the 1099 at least? Or where do we get the appropriate tax form (1099-misc I assume)?
fastcopywriter
They do not, but speak to a good accountant. Since you’re working from home, you might be able to deduct your rent, your phone bills, internet bill, and anything related to what you do on Fiverr. Some even become corporations to get more deductions, such as S-Corporations.
