Skills are shown differently to buyers/logged-out users than they were entered by sellers

I'm not sure if this should be in the "bugs" section but it seems like they did it intentionally but it seems wrong.

When you're logged in and look at your profile it shows your list of skills under the heading of skills and you can enter (or do skills tests for) things like "content writing", "video editing" etc.

So the things you enter there are actual skills.

When those get shown in the "public preview" mode or to people other than you or when you use a logged out browser they get shown, under the "Skills" title as "Content writer" (not "Content writing"), "Video editor" (not video editing). It changes "Photo editing" that you enter on your skill list to "Photo editor" (but the skill is "photo editing" not "photo editor").

But "content writer" isn't a skill (it's a job title). "Video editor" isn't a skill (it's a job title). "video editing" is a skill.

It also changes some skills entered to "<job title > expert" despite you either entering "Intermediate" (not expert) in the set-up for that skill. Others show as "<job title> expert" when you just passed a test with a score of 6.5 out of 10 and it just shows "Tested" in the set-up where the skill level can be entered for non-tested skills. But if you haven't specified you're an expert at that it shouldn't show "expert" after it, especially when 6.5 out of 10 isn't much more than the pass mark.

So it seems to reword lots (or all?) of the skills you enter/select as job titles but still lists them to buyers/logged-out users under the heading of "skills". Isn't that wrong?

That's odd. I just checked mine, and it's exactly the same in both places.

But on your profile, when logged in (and not using "public preview mode"), didn't you enter (and doesn't it show):

"Bookkeeping" as a skill? Yet it shows to other users as "Bookkeeper".

And didn't you enter "Financial Statements" as a skill, but it shows to others as "Financial statements expert". So hasn't it added "expert" to a lot of the skills that you entered (even if you didn't specify "expert" in the skill level)?

Didn't you enter a skill of "Accounting" but it shows it to other users on your profile as "Accountant" - despite "Accounting" being the skill and "Accountant" being a job title?

Didn't you enter a skill of "Ratio analysis" but it shows it to other users on your profile (under the skills heading) as "Ratio Analyst" despite that being a job title not a skill?

Didn't you enter a skill of "ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)" but it shows that to others as "ACCA accountant" (despite "accountant" being a job title)?

Didn't you enter a skill of "Inventory management" on your profile, but it shows it to other users on your profile (under "Skills" heading) as "Inventory manager" despite that not being a skill?

You can check "public preview mode" vs normal mode when logged in to see the differences or check in a different, logged out browser to see how other users will see it.

Yes, but if they are they shouldn't be shown under a heading of "Skills" if they're no longer skills really.
