Handwritten signature

Hello,
After a delivery, a customer asks me to manually sign a contract to have my handwritten signature. Can this be risky, have you ever done it?

Hi @teramangala,

I've signed NDA contracts before and sent them back as scanned PDFs to the customer. That's really the only contract I've signed since each order is considered a contract.

What type of contract did your buyer ask you to sign?

Thank you for your answer. I sell pieces of music of my composition with which I provide a commercial license in pdf (with my contact information, that of the customer and the reference of the piece sold). The customer wants me to sign manually on an identical document, but created by him.

This is the first time in 2 years on Fiverr that I have a request for a handwritten signature.

Have you read thoroughly through the document and does it look okay to you?

Normally the commercial license you provide should suffice, but sometimes customers have special requests.

Don't ever sign anything you don't feel comfortable with.

Yes, I read the document and it is ok, it is the same as mine. But in fact I decided not to follow up because, as you say, my license is enough.
Maybe I'm paranoid, but he asked me to sign on an excel document (.xls) that I didn't open because excel asked me to "authorize macros" (a sign that there was code that could try to run)

If your buyer really wants a signature and the documents are really the same, you can just add the signature to your document.
