In my opinion, I think it's will have a little effect on your gig, If your gig on rank...

It might or it might not, no one will be able to tell you for sure, it all depends on your edits and how big they are. 
I edited my gigs multiple times without it affecting gig ranking and the same for some edits it did take some time for my gig to be reapproved.

Editing probably doesn't matter... but changing titles, tags, make proper packages etc have big impact on ranking, overall performance... of course the most important thing is good work and customer satisfaction 🙂

It might or might not, no one can tell you for certain; it all relies on the size of your adjustments. I modified my gigs several times without it impacting my gig rating, although it did take some time for my gig to get reapproved.
