Is it advisable to contact old customers for jobs?

Hi there,
I am basically a creative writer, who has worked on multiple novels and stories. Would it be advisable to contact your previous customers, asking them if they need help with their novels? They did say they would contact me again if they experience a writer’s block.
I have been on fiver for 3 months almost. This is all quite new to me.
