Yes it’s very effective to searching on tag. when buyer in at some problem he/she will search the problem there and will get all the gig which one impressed that his be developer.

I think it not effect on search result because I used a keyword and search it but my gig not appears on the results.

Of course Keywords effects search results ,page ranking , views , clicks etc besides keywords tags play a most important role in your gig’s page ranking and search results as well , so try to research and and choose good and relevant keywords and tags as well .
