  1. I raise all of my base prices to $10 due to the $2 service fee. I thought a 40% service fee on a $5 gig was so steep that I would not get many orders on them.
  2. If you use the 🔍 search feature, you will see that this particular topic has been discussed at great length on the Forum and it has had no effect on the $2 service fee Fiverr charges on gigs less than $41. I got rid of all my $5 gigs because like @fonthaunt I think the $2 cost is too high of a percentage of the price of the total order.
  3. My sales did not drop, but I do not get tips anymore.
  4. I think @cyaxrex had the most truthful and helpful advice for you. However, I am having some difficulty getting the images 🐕 @uxreview gave you a hint about why you may not receive as many answers as you hoped for to your inquiry. But he did take time to give you a good answer. If you did the search 🔍 pops up. But @misscrystal really hit the 🔨 nail on the head with this!
  5. If you will use the 🔍search feature and type in "full time freelancer you will find a plethora of threads about your topic.
  6. @skydesigner I am up to 19% now. Watch out I am closing in on you! 😉
  7. You have been here 4 years and I have been here only 16 months. So I am not even in the competition! My world Domination is only 18% right now. 😕
  8. I retired 6 years ago and started to work on Fiverr to have extra 💰 Lately unexpected costs have arisen and I am glad I have Fiverr to help pay these bills. ⚠️
  9. I attribute my success on Fiverr to all that I learned by reading posts on the Forum. It is best to use the 🔍
  10. I did a google search for the wording in your profile and at least 3 other sellers have the exact same description!
  11. I think 14 days is fine. It gives Fiverr time to make sure the buyer is happy and not going to ask for a refund. Also, in my off Fiverr job I must wait a month to get paid so 14 days is fast to me.
  12. Good luck on your Fiverr 🍀
  13. Realistic expectations: “I know that I may get some orders from Fiverr’s searches, but I shouldn’t rely on just that. I should find where my buyers are and advertise my services there too. Then, I will have some business coming in when Fiverr’s searches don’t bring too many orders”. Their expectations: “Fiverr should give me a steady stream of orders, all the time. And how dare you even THINK that a buyer may look at my gig and not want to buy it!” There is a tremendous amount of competition on Fiverr. Sellers can must promote where their buyers will be. I proofread so I join online book clubs and once people there know me I let them know the service I offer that could benefit them. It does not do any good to simply open a social media account and post your gig and hope someone will find you.
  14. Which is it? Your first statement is not true. 🤥 I am one of the sellers and my orders have increased in June and are even better in July. I have read on the Forum that several sellers have said the same thing.
  15. Many people are talking about this same subject here. 🔽
  16. Now, my response was friendly and clear as well as establishing the fact that I value myself correctly. It had a little humor, but was also quite straight to the point - what you are offering is not enough, period. This has resulted in a series of projects with this client and will total 250k words by the end, all at my going rate with a small discount that I offered after the first 50,000 words. If I had just said “No” to the client, that would have been the end of it. If I had accepted that rate, I would be absolutely miserable working on this while having to send away higher paying clients. Moreover, the client is exceptionally happy with the work and the overall experience. Now, this situation is just one of many similar cases where the initial contact with the client was what others would call negative. Some clients do not order with me because my price is higher than their budget - that’s ok. They go away disappointed because they cannot work with me - some even come back weeks or months later having saved up the required amount! So there you have it, dealing with “bad buyers” is not so bad usually. How you handle them can dramatically change things for both of you. Try it out next time and see how it goes. If you disagree or can take nothing else from this whole post, just go read the Valuing Yourself Properly section again. When I taught, I found this statement to be true for “bad students” too. Usually a bit of humor went a long ways in restoring civility in some students. 😉
  17. Lol, then you definitely would not like living where the temp 🌡️
  18. Just like this but a bit thinner: I see. They do look comfy, but they could only be summer slippers here as in my part of the world I like to keep my toes, heels, and ankles covered because of the cold. Also these would not be practical venture out to drive my car that is pictures above. They are only to be worn in the house. I found these slippers for Eoin’s “hobbit feet.” 😉
  19. It’s like running bare feet, just without the pain. It’s super light and super comfy to boot. I can’t stress enough how great these are. You gotta try these to see what I mean. Plus, we have like these SUPER CHEAP $2 slippers that are made from Towel. They are incredibly soft like crazy soft. I want a picture. I do not :running_woman:t2:
  20. 😂 I call it the innovation of shoes. LMBO, your sneakers look 💯% better than @eoinfinnegan’s like eww. 🤢 Whoa! That sounds a frightening ordeal, did the passengers make it out safely without any bruises? Nice! Maybe, it’s time to start training. Yes, he was uninjured, but the car had damage, but not so much that my hubs could not drive away,
  21. I do not believe the run part! 🤨 We had a silver Mitsubishi and traded it in for a newer black convertible. It was very nice looking. We loved it until hubby was driving down a dry mountain road within the speed limit and discovered an icy spot at the bottom of the hill that caused the car to spin 360 degrees and then fly over the barrow pit and through a barbed wire fence! 😱 If it had not been for the Mitsubishi’s low center of gravity the car would have rolled for sure. This is my car last winter. Now you know why I am not a fan of snow! All that shoveling and scraping. It gets old fast! 😫 image.jpg2667×2000 1.32 MB
