Guest shannonbullman
Hey guys! I am new to freelancing and I am an American citizen. I am really confused and worried about taxes! I just started making money (a little bit) in 2015 from freelancing and I want to make sure I am doing all of the right things as far as taxes are concerned. If anyone is knows anything about this for U.S citizens…could you please give me some info, insights, tips, advice? Thanks so much-Shannon
fonthaunt
If your earnings are 2015 you won’t pay income taxes until 2016. You may not need to then depending on total earnings. Next year you can get your income totals from the Revenues page. During 2015 keep receipts if you spend money on your freelance business as those expenses may be tax deductible. Those are the main things I can think of.
