Unpaid Work and a Negative Balance: My Experience on Fiverr

aymenghnia

Question

Hi everyone,

I recently had an order on Fiverr that was cancelled by the buyer before the delivery deadline. I started working on the order and put in 5 hours of effort before receiving a notification that the order was cancelled and the buyer's account was disabled or removed.

Despite not receiving any payment for my time and effort, I was surprised to find a negative balance of $44 in my Fiverr account. I reached out to Fiverr customer support for assistance, but unfortunately, I have not received a response yet.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue on Fiverr? If so, I would appreciate any advice or suggestions for resolving the negative balance and getting back to work.

Thank you for your help and support.

Strange.... if the order was canceled before delivery, you shouldn't have a negative balance.... can you send a screenshot?

Thank you for your response and willingness to help. I agree that it's strange to have a negative balance for a cancelled order before delivery.
As you can see, the order was cancelled by the buyer before the delivery deadline and I did not receive any payment for my work. Despite this, the negative balance remains in my account362473887_975012577047404_5760443157835846418_n(1).thumb.jpg.92765959ed828736f2b287481074c703.jpgfiverrorder.thumb.jpg.8c59a46780ced55bd0785d148b09307b.jpg

Do you just mean the -44 at cancelled orders? That stays there, even if the order is cancelled without any delivery AND even if the order doesn't affect your profile. I had 3 cancellations like that in the past 2 months and they are there still, though will disappear after 60 days each,

If you reach out to CS, you might be able to fix your completion rate (depending on if you've talked to the buyer/etc.) since it IS unfair to just cancel like that, but the numbers will stay like that for two months. Was this your only cancelled order?

OR do you mean that you had more $ pending ($120 something if I'm calculating correctly) prior? That would be odd for sure since you never really got the money!

Thank you for your message and for your concern. To clarify, I did not have any other pending earnings or orders that could have affected my account balance, other than the $88 available balance and $175 in active orders from another order.

I appreciate your suggestion and concern that it would be odd to have a negative balance of $44 if there were no other pending earnings that were cancelled or affected by the cancelled order. I agree that it is a confusing situation.

Regarding customer support, I have not received a response from them yet, but I did receive a reply on the Fiverr Facebook page. They informed me that they have forwarded my ticket to support and will follow up with me. However, I am still waiting for a response from customer support, as my ticket has been open for 10 hours now.

Thank you again for offering your help and assistance. I greatly appreciate it.

Thank you for your message and for your concern. I just wanted to let you know that I included a screenshot of my balance in my previous reply. However, it looks like my comment is currently hidden and needs to be approved before it can be edited. Once the comment is approved, you should be able to see the screenshot and the updated information. Thank you for your patience while we wait for the comment to be approved.

I wanted to express my gratitude to everyone in the Fiverr community who provided me with helpful insights and advice on my situation. Your support and encouragement were invaluable and helped me to navigate this issue with confidence.

I'm pleased to report that Fiverr's support team was able to restore my Order Completion Rate to 100% and provide me with helpful insights on my situation. They also clarified that the negative balance of -$44 on my dashboard was just a counter for the expected earnings that were lost as a result of the canceled order, and that no debt was created.

  • I apologize for not responding to this topic earlier as I had reached the maximum number of posts I could make per day. Nonetheless, I'm grateful for the support and insights I received from the community and am glad to be part of such a helpful and supportive network.

Thank you all for your help and support.
