Change my "username" without deleting my "buyer-reviews"?

curtlarson

Question

I started as a buyer years ago.  But, now I have a skill to be a seller.

I want to change my username to reflect my new skill as a seller.

However, I am worried that if I delete my account, in order to obtain the new username, the reviews that I have given to another seller will be deleted.

I would feel bad if that happened because one seller has done a lot of great work for me and tons of his good reviews are from me.

There's very little evidence that Buyers pick a specific Seller based on their username. Not to a statistical significance.

I found this study (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5742175/) that states:

Quote

"Our findings have important practical implications in many consumer-related contexts. The most obvious is of course connected with name composition and choice. In many everyday situations, the first information that is available about others is their name, be it in form of an email, when the employee of a customer care service identifies himself, or in the nametags worn during professional meetings. Globally, our results suggest that individuals should strive for simple, easy-to-pronounce names as a way to increase perceived trustworthiness, which in turn may contribute to positive outcomes."

I think the study's sample size is rather small, but it is a very interesting attempt to gauge "perceived trustworthiness". What was REALLY interesting is the 10th experiment.

In that study, what DID show statistical significance was reputation and clarity.

With very rare exceptions, reviews are never deleted unless they violate Fiverr's ToS. Proof:

Your username is fine.

If you really think it's not, then take this opportunity to experiment with the process of creating a gig. Learn the process, and what Fiverr will require from you.

These three are, arguably and debatably, the most important:
