People Using **** [Other Marketplaces] to Give Fake Reviews

So...I'm trudging through my usual "find work" process on **** [ other popular freelance website], and I come across a freelancer offering to pay people for fake reviews. It's typical, I know, but when I spend hours changing my gigs and performing to the best of my ability in order to get good reviews, It's truly frustrating to find people can just pay people to upsell them without any effort at all.

I understand the process of offering LEGIT reviews, even if I do disagree with it, but these are fake reviews.

Anyways, my main point is, consider monitoring other popular freelance websites for people asking for fake reviews for your site. (I'm sure it's difficult to decipher who the person is on Fiverr vs. **** [other popular freelance website], but if you apply for the gig, they'll have to tell you whom to post the review for. Or ask Upwork maintenance to rid of these offers). Just a thought!

You're paid well enough to monitor these things, and I have to say, you guys do perform a good job of watching for scammers. Honestly, a scammer messaging me is generally discovered within 2-3 hours, even without reporting it, so keep up the good work on that aspect!

Thank you, your trust data entry specialist,

Ashley

I hate this.  We all hate this.  I called out someone on this forum earlier today for seemingly trying to do that very thing.  Not only is it unethical, it dilutes the value of the ratings for everyone; and for what....... the person getting the fake reviews scrapes out an extra order or two before the free market realizes they are scammers.
