This is very important for two reasons 1. Inbox response time should be 90+ to be in a level and 2. You are risking losing the clients who are in hurry by replying late.

Moreover it creates a bad impression about you and your dedication to work...

So try to reply asap.

No, you have to answer everyone as late as possible. That way, the price will go up! 

Jokes aside: Response time and response rate is very important! Response rate should be 100% and response time no more than 6-12 hours, but I recommend even less. Remember, it's an average; some messages will get a response in 10 hours, some in 1 hour. The average in the past 60 days is your response time. 

Ideally, you want to answer potential buyers as soon as possible; oftentimes, they will reach out to more than one seller, and the first one to give a sensible response will most likely get the order.
