Here are some tips that helped other users who have experienced the same issue:
-Use a PC/Mac to enter the code, and not a mobile browser.
-Make sure your country code and area code are correct.
-Make sure your phone number is accurate.
-Make sure to use the numbers on top of your keyboard instead of a number pad.
-Make sure to wait a few hours before each attempt.

hello, I AM having the same issue. I went to verify my number after finishing my gig setup, and i wemt to verify my number, i wasnt even given the oppurtunity to get a verification code. it just automatically jumped to verification limit reached, try within 24 hours. This is the only thing holding me and my selling account back right now. i wasnt even given a chance to verify my number, the site glitched or something. please help. Thanks

@shachihugo I am having the same situation except the error message it gives me is "this number is already connected to a Fiverr accout" which is really confusing. If I try too many times it locks me out for 24 hours. I think the Fiverr website has a bug that they haven't resolved. So I tried it from a different angle and it still didn't work.

I went to:
Settings > Security > Phone Verification

There is a little button that says "verify now." I clicked that and put in my number. I got the same error message.

Someone should help. I'm creating a new account and the phone number verification says I exhausted my attempts. And I only just opened the tab and close it
