SCAM ALERT - Asking for $25 signup fee

I just got an inbox from someone saying they were interested in hiring me. They said to open the attached file for instructions. On downloading the file, I got the following error message:

I told the “client” that the file was corrupted and asked him to paste the instructions in the email box. He sent me a pdf file instead. I was not getting suspicious. when I opened the file, the second paragraph read in part:

Must be willing to sign-up for one-time $25 fee, for creation of your account as a writer in our software company through which we will provide you articles and blogs topics and you will deliver it and you will earn $25 for each article.

I replied immediately telling him I was not interested.

Beware of this scammer - or any other that asks you to pay in order to get hired.
