  1. We already have an active thread about this :

I recently noticed this “bug”: Top sellers from the first page get thrown to the last page and then forgotten forever. If you came here to learn why and how I fixed it, you’ve come to the right place. However, this may take a lot of effort from your side, so, get ready! rocket Before I show you the steps to fix your gig’s position in the search, I wanna explain how the search algorithm works and why so many people are confused about it. Why am I getting demoted? The search algorithm is NOT …

    So start reading that.

If a buyer has a track record of excellent reviews from many sellers, if he gives you a bad review then it’s your fault and not his.

Not necessarily. They can get a good review as a buyer in spite of being a pain to deal with. They can have ulterior motives for giving a seller a bad review other than having anything to do with what you delivered.

  3. As I discovered recently, buyers who leave negative reviews tend to linger on your gig’s page to see how you’ll respond. A response like this would for sure be puzzling for them. I wish I’d gone that route, just for fun.

“Thank you for diversifying my reviews with your contribution, I love that”.

“It’s about time I finally got a bad review!”

  4. I also deal with one buyer like this,I gave him 50 revisions and allast they cancel order.

I gave him 50 revisions and allast they cancel order.

It’s heartbreaking to read things like this happening. I’m so sorry you had this happen. It was probably over a $5 order too.

  5. Put it this way, a response to a negative review is far more about making yourself look fair and reasonable to future potential buyers - and far less about responding to what that one individual buyer actually said about you.

In other words, treat this as an opportunity to say to others reading the review in future “Look, I’m a decent person”. It’s an advertising and PR opportunity for you. Don’t blow it by sounding off and finger pointing at the buyer. That approach is emotional led, and not business led.

making yourself look fair and reasonable to future potential buyers - and far less about responding to what that one individual buyer actually said about you.

I think my response suggestion accomplished that. People want to know why that client said that about her and what her reaction to it and her experience with that client was like so they can see why he might have said that. In this case he left a bad review after being uncommunicative during the process.

Otherwise they think he was right and it was all her fault and she is a lousy seller.

a response where you simply say “I’m sorry it didn’t work out. Should you have another design requirement in future then let’s chat as it would be good to make you happy”.

So you suggest you will be happy to bend over, and ask for more orders from this person and submit to another session like the last one. ok. We don’t have to agree. Nowhere did I say she wanted to do a lot of revisions, on the contrary.

Your response sounds like you will tolerate anything as long as they place more orders.

  7. I looked at the page source code and can’t see why it wouldn’t be available to everyone unless they simply removed that option.

Have you tried writing the html into the description box? I see the source code says h1, h2, h3

    Yoast for Wordpress SEO

I just now tried it here.
  8. I haven’t seen gigs with large text for the descriptions. Since we aren’t writing html code in the descriptions I’m not sure how that would work.

If there are gigs with extra large text in the descriptions maybe they first wrote the description in a word processing program, where they could adjust the size of fonts, then copied it and pasted it into the description box.

If you can show a screenshot of a gig description where larger text (header size text) is used it would be helpful.

  9. I am facing the same issue.

I published my Gig, however my URL is not updated after I renamed my Gig.

My friend told me that I may need to delete the Gig and create it again since I have literally no orders.

I published my Gig, however my URL is not updated after I renamed my Gig.

It’s not a problem as long as the gig title you changed it to is for the same thing as the URL or old title.

The URL will never change for a gig.

If you are selling logos for example and your old title and URL was about logos your new gig title should also be about logos.

  10. Hello, several posts have mentioned they would like to have this feature. I doubt if it will happen since fiverr offers instant placing of an order as one of it’s main advantages. To allow sellers to choose if they want to accept an order means there would be a delay while the one who placed the order had to wait to see if his order was accepted by the seller.

So overall it would be a bad experience for someone who wants to place an order.

Also it would require giving buyers the option to instantly cancel the order when they see they have to wait to have it accepted.

Internet sales are a 24 hour a day business. It never stops or closes. So we can get orders while we sleep. It’s an advantage to both buyers and sellers. It’s a trade off therefore between getting a decent number of orders around the clock, or getting to choose which ones you want to accept. Most likely most buyers wouldn’t want to wait to see if they have been accepted.

  11. From Payoneer: “any other promotion of a Referral Link in a manner that would constitute or appear to constitute unsolicited commercial email or “spam” in Payoneer’s sole discretion is expressly prohibited and may be grounds for immediate termination of the Referrer’s participation in the Program, the Referrer’s Payoneer account and Referrer’s eligibility for Payoneer Payment Services, including deactivation of the Referral Link.”

Using a forum to try to get affiliate sales IS spam.

As I have explained earlier my post definitely wasn’t spam. It contained valuable information and was perfect for the “Tips for sellers” category.

Posts with Requests for Sales/Buyers that are posted may be deleted without warning. Since all users should be aware of the rules on promotion, when moderators lack time to edit/move posts to a correct category the post may instead just be removed.

I did never request that anyone buy something, everything I linked and talked about was free (in fact it would actually save the users money over time). I did not break this rule.

“We define spam on Fiverr as messaging activity that is unwanted, repeatedly occurring and disruptive to the experience of recipients. Spam can take many forms ranging from unwanted offers to commercially-motivated solicitations that aim to drive traffic or attention to websites, products, and services outside of Fiverr.”

Again didn’t break this ToS. My post was not unwanted (as it was a perfectly valid tip for sellers), was not repeatedly occurring as it was only one post, and also not disruptive to the experience at all as it fits perfectly within the kind of tips you would expect to find in this part of the forum. And even if I was somehow breaking this part of the ToS it specifically relates to messaging people, and isn’t relevant for forum posts.

In any case, you don’t use a forum to try to sell things. It’s absurd that you think that the forum owes it to you to allow that and that you’re oblivious to how unethical that is.

I wasn’t trying to sell anything, my only intention was to help out sellers on the plattform and even if they had used my link they still would not have had to purchase anything and would actually be better of than continuing to use PayPal or signing up without using a link. I did specifically say that the important part was to use a referral link, and that it didn’t need to be my link. In my opinion this isn’t unethical at all since all the numbers and facts are there for them to make the decision themselves it is not link I was trying to trick anyone into signing up.

I think we can finish this discussion here. I now have an active post that doesn’t contain my link, hopefully this will help some sellers save some money. We both got what we wanted in the end.

You’re posts are lengthy. This subject doesn’t require such long posts. It’s really overkill at this point.

  12. It might have been inappropriate according to some vaguely written rules, but it definitely wasn’t spam.

Technically you are correct since the definition of spam is a little different from that. But it’s promoting something. Whether you get paid from it or not it promotes Payoneer. So it is that aspect of it that is not allowed.

To simply talk about it is one thing and that’s ok but to have any sort of a link is more in line with really posting a promotion.
