I recently watched an indie sci-fi film called 'Vesper', and it was really bad. The pacing was so slow that I genuinely felt pain from the amount of boredom I experienced, haha. Why Delivering Early Hurt My Reputation At the beginning of my journey of selling on Fiverr, I consistently went out of my way to deliver the project as early as possible to exceed the customer's expectations. The method was great except for one fatal flaw. Instead of just sending the project and thanking them for the opportunity to work with them, I would acknowledge how I had gone out of my way to deliver the project early. After a few "early" deliveries, I realised that this acknowledgement worked against me as I was giving off the idea that I had rushed the project. The Lesson If you are going to deliver your project early, do it without any acknowledgement. This alternative method will exceed your customer's expectations and prevent them from thinking you rushed the project. Remember, you want to convey that you are organised, not careless. Of course! The reason the first 1-10 is important is that reviews at that level have a huge impact on your overall rating. For example, if a brand-new seller were to receive a 5-star review, followed by a 1-star review, their overall rating would be around 2.5-stars. This would be extremely difficult to come back from as customers would be far more likely to pick someone with no reviews, over someone with a 2.5-star rating. Now, compare that to someone with 10 five-star reviews, who then receive a one-star review, their overall rating would at worst, drop to around 4.6 stars. This isn't ideal, but it's much better than the previously mentioned 2.5 stars. Ultimately every single piece of feedback you receive is important, but the early ones will have a much bigger impact on your overall rating, and this isn't even taking into consideration the impact it will have on your gig's position in relation to the algorithm. Thus, in a nutshell, your first reviews will ultimately be the springboard for your account's future momentum and success. This isn't just for your account but is the case for any gig you create. Disclaimer: This is just an opinion and is in no way based on how Fiverr runs it's business and platform.

Continually improve your gig! Many think that you can simply create a profile and walk away. That isn't the case. You need to continually improve.

Upload a video, use the document sections, and create 10 FAQs. It's important to use every thing you can on a gig to improve it's rankings.

It's unfortunate that so many sellers misunderstand the fundamentals of business; which is to provide value. I have multiple people message me every week stating that they want to become writers and yet they can't produce a coherent grammatically-correct gig description. Additionally, so many are wanting a get-rich-quick scheme, when in reality, successful sellers had to work insanely hard just for their first order. I often buy services on Fiverr, and when I scroll through the site I always notice how only 1/10 people actually take things seriously.

It really comes down to a question of math. Determine what your monthly expenses are on a monthly basis and then multiply that by twelve. This calculation will give you the yearly minimum you need to receive from Fiver in order to live. It's true that some months are better than others, so it might be worth considering picking up something on the side to help in the quieter months. I use to drive for Uber Eats and that was a great way to earn a bit of ash when it was needed.

I'm not sure what the industry standard is for website-design profiles. But you could also just create a PDF that includes your design samples and upload it to the document section on your Fiverr gig page. Just make sure it looks awesome!

Make an awesome thumbnail, utilise all of the pictures, document, and video sections, create a 1200-character desertion, create 10 FAQs, fill out each order section with as much detail as possible, fill out your profile with as much information as possible, take the free Fiverr freelancer course, take the Fiverr tests to demonstrate your skills and keep working hard every single day.

Study your craft, and improve your profile. That's it!

Forget about trying to bring traffic from other sites and instead focus on making your profile and gig stand out from the tens of thousands of people offering the same service. You need to ask yourself "Why would someone choose me over a competitor?"

Seller Plus is a tool and thus only provides results relative to how it is used. As I run an agency, I find the benefit of a one-week payout, and at times, instant payout to be amazing. For me, that alone is worth the $40 a month. However, I also love the in-depth analytics around keywords. Seller Plus will not guarantee you more orders, but if you use what is offered, you can definitely increase the value of your services which will in turn help you garner more orders. Context: I was admitted to Seller Plus last week and opted for the more expensive option.
