  1. Welcome back to Fiverr. You seem to have a good idea of what you can do to get back on track. And you are optimistic, kind of like a new seller 🙂.

Fiverr has grown tremendously since you were last active. You are already aware of the competition and algorithm, so at least you're not clueless or have unrealistic expectations.

My advice is to perform the best you can, appreciate your customers, and wait for Fiverr to recognize your hard work. Though sometimes, honestly, Fiverr won't.

Up until yesterday, I was a top-rated seller, but today I lost the badge despite meeting all the necessary requirements.

If you are certain that you maintained all the requirements to keep your TRS status, I suggest you contact Customer Support. Maybe there was a mistake in the system. I've heard of people getting TRS without meeting the requirements, so I would not be surprised if someone loses it while maintaining the requirements.

But hear me out, you should have asked everything you need in your requirements page.

Hi. Thank you for your feedback. It was actually not a matter of having everything addressed in the requirements page. This was part of a modification to the order and I was needing her to verify one of the references she used in her book. But yes, I agree with what you are saying.

You need to work smart and tough here. We are not dealing with cotton candy. Fiverr is about timing so you just can't be late, ever, even if it is buyer's fault.

I'm not sure what makes you think I didn't or don't work smart or tough. You don't know anything about me except for what I've shared. The "cotton candy" reference is unnecessary, immature, and kind of funny, to be honest. Don't be fooled by my smile and friendly online etiquette. And I agree that timing is important in Fiverr. However, there are some sellers who endure unforseen circumstances which results in a tardy delivery. That wasn't my case of course, and I don't blame the buyer. I take full accountability for my mistake.

Do you think maybe CS could have helped extend your delivery by a few hours? I haven't had it happen but that could be useful?

I think if I had asked for an extension, it would have probably covered me in a sense. I mean, if the buyer doesn't respond to my request for an extension, at least it's documented that I requested it. Maybe that would have helped. But it's okay. Thank you for your feedback, Katakatica 🙂

    Dear Success Managers,

To take a page from Micah Kaufman's recent "Open Letter to AI" in the New York Times, let me state clearly that as Fiverr sellers, we come in peace.

There is no doubt that the "seller plus" concept provides valuable insight, but in light of the many successful sellers who recently suffered a simultaneous and unexplainable drop in impressions and sales, we ask that you consider offering more substantial remedies to address the problem.

For example, many in the forum have told some version of the following story. In late January or early February, impressions dropped to nearly nothing. In my case from thousands per day to maybe 100 if I am lucky. Of course as impressions go, so do sales. As many other did, we turned to our SM's for answers, and unfortunately, we received essentially the following as advice:

    • Look at your keywords
    • Freshen your gigs
    • Create additional gigs

This is largely the same sort of cut and paste advice that non SP members get whenever they contact support and ask why they are not getting sales. However in this case, it was many very successful sellers with well performing gigs that were essentially switched off simultaneously.

Let me state clearly that I very much like both my previous and current SM's, and in no way blame the following analysis on them, but instead on the secretive and opaque system that prevents them from providing any assistance that is truly actionable.

I am not alone in having been told flat out that there are things which the SM's cannot share with us, however I am not asking for the key to the algorithm. I am instead asking why after many of us have counseled with our SM's, not one person has said they received any real analysis or more importantly a strategy to fix the problem. Again, we are successful sellers who suddenly hit a wall, not noobs asking why we are not getting sales.

I personally pay $348 per year for SP. My hope is that for that amount of money, I would get a deep analysis of exactly why I am suddenly experiencing this, along with specific recommendations to fix it. Otherwise, what is the point?  I could save the money and email support to be told the review my keywords.

I am not writing to complain about the SM's, as I know their hands are tied and they are only allowed to provide vague and generic help.  But when something of this magnitude sidelines a bunch of successful sellers, I'd like to ask if the SM's cannot become advocates for us, with specific advice to actually fix the issue.

We are, after all paying for such help.

SM's, I am asking for you to advocate for us and "Manage our Success". Perhaps discuss amongst yourselves and management how you can provide actionable help for those of us who continue to subscribe to premium help in the form of "SP" who are now presenting you with a real problem and are looking to you for help and guidance.

I look forward to your response.

    Thank You

I love this. You are absolutely right!

  6. It's somewhat of a relief to learn that I was not or am not the only person going through a slump. Mine is a little more sucky, in my opinion, though, as you can see from my attachment. But there's a backstory to my dilemma. So, I admit to the lateness of the order. I had a client whom I was waiting to hear back from so I could deliver her work. It was important for her to answer my question. I did not want to deliver something that had not been completed, and I know some people deliver incomplete work, but I don't. So, the time passed, no word from her, and my delivery ended up being 5 hours late. I was not overly worried. This was my first late order ever. I saw my percentage drop to 86 or something like that. However, I figured I'd get another order, and all would be well. I got another order a few days later. My percentage increased to 88. I was feeling better, and I got another order, and it went to 90. Yet, the next day, it went back down to 89 😞. I did some checking and realized that my gigs were no longer being featured or even seen on the platform. I received no messages either—nothing for weeks.  So, I asked Customer Support how am I supposed to get another order if my gigs have been "removed?"  They told me to wait for an order from a repeat customer. That didn't happen until it was too late. On March 15, I got demoted.

So, yeah...But I'm still sticking around and trying not to be bitter about it. It definitely hasn't affected my work ethic or quality of work.

But I agree that it is strange that so many people had similar problems during this time. Hopefully, things improve, but we all understand the inconsistencies of this type of business.

  7. What do you need them to answer about? Did you ask the buyer a question that would affect the delivery? If not, an Autocomplete order is fine. It doesn't show up in your gig profile for others to see as "Autocomplete." Complete means complete, no matter if a revision was done, a review was left, you got a tip, or the buyer accepted the delivery.

And why would the order be shown in your gig gallery, anyway? You don't necessarily have to share your customers' delivery in your gallery. Some buyers actually don't like that.

  8. @mariashtelle1is right. You have to do your own research for that answer. There may be someone on the forum who does grant research and grant proposals, but it is not a guarantee they will respond. So, to ensure that you get the information you need, just find it yourself.

I don't mind eating bugs that much as long as it doesn't have its original shape/form.

I agree. The bugs I ate were covered in caramel or chocolate or something. And they were kind of crunchy. I'm a texture-first, taste-second eater, so I was okay with it.

As of right now, I just rely on the Fiverr platform, which is unpredictable.

Hi @maheennadeem814. I am an empathetic and sympathetic person so I really do feel for you. However, like @imagination7413said, most people deal with what you are going through at times. I can't say that I have ever experienced my lowest in my freelance career, but I've had some rough times. Personally, I pray about it or talk to someone I trust, just like @imagination7413suggested as well.

Is Fiverr your only source of income by choice or can you not find work anywhere else? I'm asking because maybe it would have been better to obtain stable employment first, then do Fiverr part-time until your finances and freelance career can support you adequately.

As far as if knowing if you are on the right path, that's something you really have to figure out. How much do you believe in yourself and how bad do you want to succeed? More importantly, what kind of hard work are you willing to put in to get? I think people make their own paths, and no matter what direction it takes you, it's not about the destination, it's about the journey. If you this miserable, maybe you should revaluate some things.

And sorry, I tend to write a lot sometimes 🙁. I hope things get better for you.

  11. Hey! I don't live off the grid or anything, but I wanted to comment that I didn't know onr could live off the grid and work on Fiverr if electricity and internet are required. I guess it would possible with a cell phone's hot spot and a fully charged laptop, if the phone towers reach that far.

I have considered buying a tiny house, though, but then I realized that I like space and would go crazy if I couldn't have quiet/space time to myself. Personal time is a big deal. The only exception is my dog 🙂

I like to visit the VA hospitals. Some of those people are very lonely. (I know; it is a place to possibly get some kind of bug.) My brother was in the military and he passed 5 years ago. He told me how lonely he was when he was wounded and no family nearby. In memory of him, I hope I am helping someone else. I have made a lot of friends and their families, hope to get to know many more.

I agree that many veterans at VA hospitals seem very lonely.  When I go there, I always find myself in conversation with much older veterans. Honestly, it's kind of sad. For some of them, the military was all they knew. But it's kind of you to visit. Maybe volunteering could be an option.

  13. Hi, Wyatt. Welcome to Fiverr! I'm not a voice actor at all, but I do have a little info for you. So, since you are new, it will definitely be hard for you to be seen at first. There are quite a number of voice actors on this platform, and it can't be determined how far along the list your gig will be seen. Try not get discouraged and try not to expect too much. Sometimes, orders take time. Use this forum to do more research and get other advice. Stay committed and positive!

I grew up in bush Alaska, so whenever I think of winter, I think of Alaskan winters with lots of snow, no sun, and the Aurora Borealis,

I was stationed in Alaska for four years. It was one of my favorite duty stations. We drove from Virginia to Fairbanks. We arrived in June and were so confused at how it didn't get dark. Telling the kids it was bed time was a struggle. Then we were shocked because once it started snowing in October, it didn't melt until like late March, early April.

And yes, the Northern Lights! I miss Alaska, too, and the PFD. Lol.

  15. I love to cook, and I am inspired when I go out to eat at restaurants. So, I'd try a dish, and I'd say, "I can make this!" Then I go home and make it. I also enjoy gardening, but right now, it's cold where I am, so my garden is currently "out of order." My husband got me an Aerogarden for Christmas, though, and I love it.

I am a writer, but drawing was my first love. I need to get back into it. I also like hiking, watching movies, and painting.

Now that I think about it, my hobbies aren't unusual at all 🤔

For you needlework folks @melanielm and @vickiespencer, I envy that skill! My daughters both know how to do it, but I suck at it. Lol. One of my daughters even has a crochet business.
