  1. Randomly posting your gig links to your friends on social media is NOT going to work. If you want to gain sales from “social media marketing”, you are going to have to be connected to your customers – not your friends. Your friends are not going to be the ones buying your services; the people who need your services – your customers – will be the only people that can make you successful. Please don’t plaster your links everywhere and think that is an effective form of marketing that will bring you endless sales. Odds are, you won’t gain any sales from that “strategy”. If you want to be successful, connect your services to the people who need them.
  2. Well, where are your customers located?
  3. You are welcome for my suggestion that you should spell words correctly.
  4. See, this is an example of why you should spell your words correctly. You asked for more “oders” in your gigs. Without the “r” after the “o”, thereby creating the intended word, “order”, you’re left with just “oder”, which, regrettably sounds exactly like the word “odor”. Therefore, by misspelling your request, it reads a bit like you are looking for more bad smells to add to your gigs. No one is going to want to buy a smelly gig. 🤨 And, as a more direct result of your misspelling, the following seems a bit unfortunate as well: According to the urban dictionary, an “ODer” is an “online dater”, referring specifically to two people who are dating in online games or social media. So, by misspelling such an integral word within your request, it looks – quite literally – like you are looking to play matchmaker, and find more online daters to hang out in your gigs. I highly doubt that online daters are your target customers. My advice: Don’t beg for odors or online daters here on the forum. Don’t beg for customers either. Learn how to be a businessman freelancer, and market and promote your gigs to find your customers. Odors, online daters, and all of us here on the forums are NOT your customers. If you’re not going to take your freelance career seriously – or professionally,… why should we? And, to answer your question more specifically… Your grammar and context is terrible. Since you are seeking “oders” (orders), I shall assume that by “writing a buyer request”, you actually mean writing a seller RESPONSE to a buyer request. The best way to do that is to directly address what the buyer is asking for, and show the buyer how you can fulfill their need. There is no single way to do this. Connect with the buyer. Offer your services. That’s how it works.
  5. Hard work is part of every business. Why wouldn’t that be the same for freelancers here on Fiverr?
  6. I would agree with this statement. The new sellers who complain about their Fiverr career being over, just because they lost a badge, are definitely focusing on the wrong thing. Buyers likely notice the seller “badges”, but those badges are not as important as skill, quality, and professional attitude. The sellers that focus on these things are usually the sellers that succeed here on Fiverr. It is always good (and wise) to research and gather data. 🙂
  7. My buyers rarely say anything about my seller badge being an influence on their purchase interest. What they do tell me is that they saw my reputation, the strong interest from other buyers, and my gig gallery (i.e., my skills), and purchased from me because of those things. My clients choose to work with me because I can prove that I am good at what I do, and I have the reputation of being a fantastic seller to work with. So, in answer to your questions, I have found that quality and skill are far more important to buyers than the level badge that a seller has. A badge is just a badge – skill is hard to fake.
  8. I prefer not to dominate the world. The last time someone tried to do that, it resulted in WWII. 😉
  9. I don’t understand this comment. You dropped your computer and it broke? I’m not sure how you want us to help you with that. How do you forget your own email address? No, I am not going to look at your profile. Me doing so will not make you more successful.
  10. There is nothing “educational” about comparing where everyone’s clients come from. Nothing about this compared information will make YOU a better seller. I will comment wherever I wish. I was not rude. I did offer a sarcastic response, but what’s the harm in a little humor (especially in a topic that keeps popping up over, and over, and over and over, through the years)? It is inappropriate of you to demand that other people stay away from your topics. This is a public forum. You may comment here as much as I or anyone else.
  11. Mine is 548%, but that’s only because my gigs are dominating on other planets as well. Seriously, though, why do people keep posting these “world domination” topics? They serve no functional purpose other to compare a completely irrelevant stat.
  12. Have you tried marketing and promoting your gig elsewhere – to the target customers that need the services you offer? That would be an excellent way to gain some more sales. 😉
  13. Fiverr’s defenders claim that the new level standards are making everyone equal. If TRS gets paid in 7 and we get paid in 14, where’s the equality? Is our money less valuable than theirs? Do we need it less than they do? No! If the system allows TRS’s to get paid in 7 days, the same courtesy should be given to us. It shouldn’t be a perk, TRS’s get enough perks. First of all, is it really “their platform”? We’re the ones that work here! We’re the ones that make money for them! Don’t act like they’re doing you a favor, they take 20%. And you’re wrong, I don’t have plenty of options. Name me one platform that is like Fiverr, it doesn’t exist. Don’t even mention the Fiverr clones, and don’t compare it to People Per Hour, I tried dealing with those finks and they screwed me over. I don’t understand why this has suddenly become a “them” and “us” issue for you. Just yesterday, you were a “them” who had 7-day fund clearance. Today, you are arguing as if you are a disenfranchised seller who is unfairly given 14-day fund clearance. I’m sorry to hear that you were demoted (YESTERDAY!) from TRS level with 7-day fund clearance, to Level 2 with 14-day fund clearance. I get that you’re angry, but your demotion does not mean you still deserve TRS perks now that you are a Level 2 seller. Your entire argument strikes me as if you’re thumbing your nose at the rest of us – who have never been TRS sellers. We’re all getting by just fine with the standard 14-day fund clearance. This IS their website. See the logo on any page of their site? It says, “Fiverr”. This site is theirs. It’s branded with their logo. It is their platform, and we work on it in exchange for giving them 20% of all of our earnings. I don’t know about you, but I think that’s more than fair. I love my 80% profit! Other places that I work only give me 10-20%. You always have options. I’m sure you have many skills. Pick one, and find a way to make it profitable. I, for example, offer my brand development services here on Fiverr, but I am also a designer who designs t-shirts and other licensed merchandise that is very popular and sells quite well. In addition, I maintain Facebook pages and manage brand and design projects for other people. I do many things… and I’ve found ways to make those other things profitable. You always have options, it’s just a matter of whether you want to work at making them profitable. Fiverr is not the only option for self-employed freelance people.
  14. I disagree. Do you realize how much of an accounting nightmare this would be? What we have in place right now seems more than fair to me. We don’t need to be adding features just because every level needs to feel uniquely special in some sort of way.
  15. I am a former Level 2 seller that is (still) very successful here on Fiverr. You claim that Fiverr only cares about Level 2 and TRS sellers… I’m a Level 1 seller for the next 30 days. I am (still) a profitable seller. You can bet Fiverr still cares about me and the 20% income I give them. You are, therefore, 100% incorrect. Please don’t make blanket statements without thinking about what you’re saying first.
  16. How about letting you keep your level after you earned it? “If I earn $100/week then it makes no difference after the first 2 weeks.” It makes a huge difference when Fiverr is your only source of income and you want to keep your credit card balances low. A good tip for being successful as a self-employed freelancer is to have more than one source of income. Right now, you are seeing what happens when you put all your efforts into one source of income, and something “bad” happens to cause an upset in that income. When you diversify your income, a hit on one of the sources of income won’t hurt as much, because the other sources of income can pick up the slack and continue to provide incomes for you so that you can “keep your credit card balances low”.
  17. I’ve worked in the real world, we usually get paid biweekly, every other week. Maybe it’s different for teachers? Doesn’t matter, even if my motives are selfish, everyone would benefit from a 7-day delivery. Just because you’re used to something doesn’t make it right. There are amazing sellers who haven’t earned TRS, even when they sell more than me! So why will I have a chance to earn it back? Fiverr doesn’t care, they have ZERO loyalty towards long time sellers like me. The teacher I am married to gets paid bi-weekly. Bi-weekly is roughly 14 days. And just because you’re not used to it doesn’t mean it must change. I disagree. But I’m not going to argue with your viewpoint. You are allowed to be distressed over losing your TRS level. I just hope the transition process for you is short. The longer you remain this stressed over it, the harder it will become to accept.
  18. And that is what works for his business, and where he works. Fiverr has different payment standards. Some sellers may not like it… but those are still the Fiverr standards. Patience is a virtue. We all want to get paid sooner than later, but that isn’t always how things work out. So, we work with what we have. And most of Fiverr’s freelancers gain their cleared earnings after 14 days. I’ll pretend you didn’t say that. My wife, a teacher, gets paid every two weeks (i.e., every 14-15 days). She and I managed out household expenses on that payment calendar. I don’t mean to sound rude, but yesterday, you were a TRS, enjoying that 7-day funds clearance. Today you are a Level 2 seller who will have to get used to the standard 14-day payment clearance. You’re complaining as if this is an us and them thing – respectfully, it comes across as being extremely entitled. I’m sorry that you lost the 7-day cycle. The 14-day cycle isn’t as bad as you make it out to be. Thousands of Fiverr sellers have been doing just find on the 14-day clearance cycle for years. It works – and has worked – just fine for us. It’ll work for you as well, so long as you make a few adjustments to accommodate it as long as you are among the realm of below-TRS sellers. Then, when you earn TRS again, you can have the joy of returning to the 7-day cycle. It’ll be okay. I say this from experience. 😉
  19. I’ve never been a TRS, so I’ve always had access to my cleared funds in 14 days. I’m used to it, and have never had any problems. I know it’s a perk at the TRS level, but I don’t feel that I need it in order to operate as a successful Fiverr freelancer. I’m sorry that your demotion takes you from that 7-day clearance to the 14-day clearance that most of the rest of us have been used to. It’s not a challenge if you challenge yourself to make it work.
  20. That is my Point. and you offer 1 revision What if he leave one star review after this? You will definitely accept the one star review instead of doing free revision. That’s the main reason of this thread There must be maximum 30 days in which the buyer can rate your service after it delivered And thanks for your Advice. If he leaves you a 1-star review, that is his right, and he is welcomed – and encouraged, by Fiverr in their TOS – to do so. Why are YOU living in fear of a 1-star review? The more positives reviews you earn, the less a 1-star review will hurt you. Again, why are you living in fear of a 1-star review? Let him leave his review, you can respond to it, and then you should move on. You do not deserve 5-star reviews, just as buyers are not required to leave any kind of review. Earn your positive reviews, and if you come across a buyer that just makes trouble, well then, so be it. Not every buyer is going to be a wonderful person. That’s life. That’s business. That’s the nature of being a freelancer.
  21. There’s your problem. Don’t offer unlimited revisions. Absolutely not. Because I don’t offer unlimited revisions, and I do not do work on orders that have already been marked as complete by the Fiverr system. You shouldn’t either. My advice: Learn common sense. It will serve you well as a Fiverr seller.Stick to the terms of your service. If you do so, buyers cannot take advantage of you.Find logic. It will keep you from taking advantage of yourself.
  22. How about, instead, you just list the maximum amount of revisions you will do in your gig packages, and then stick to that number of revisions.
  23. If you want to be successful, “promotions” will have to become your passion. You’re in business. Learn to grow your gigs as if they were a business. If you fail to treat your freelance work like a business, if you choose not to take advantage of marking and promotion, then you you will probably fail here on Fiverr. You WILL have to do hard work in order to succeed.
  24. There is nothing you can do to directly remove a review. You can ask the buyer – via the Resolution Center – to change their review, but the buyer has to agree to it, and only they can make any changes to the review. If the buyer doesn’t change a review after you’ve requested it through the Resolution Center, then there is nothing more that you can do. Sellers receive negatives reviews. It happens. If the buyer isn’t willing to change the review, then please accept it, and move on. You can always post a response to any review, thereby offering your side of the story.
  25. Reviews are permanent – including negative reviews. Fiverr does not remove negative reviews.
