  1. We don't really have control over the platform until we own it. All we can do is be patient and wait for their reply.
  2. I think that the decrease in gig impressions on Fiverr is due to the increasing competition. However, I suggest that you avoid promoting your gig through gig exchanges. This type of promotion tends to result in higher bounce rates because the audience you're targeting is mostly made up of other sellers. What I mean is that when you exchange gigs with other Fiverr sellers, they may click on your gig and visit it, but they are unlikely to order from you because they are sellers themselves. This will cause them to leave your gig immediately, resulting in a high bounce rate, which sends a bad signal to the Fiverr platform. If you choose to promote your gig on social media or other platforms, make sure you're targeting the right audience.
  3. I don't think that's the case. What I mean is that due to the rising competition on Fiverr, it's common to face such situations. I myself have experienced it. However, my suggestion is that you keep promoting your gig. As long as you're making a profit in the long run and getting orders, don't give up. Remember, it's normal not to receive orders every day, even after promoting your gig. This might be due to the intense competition. So, let your boosted gig run for a few weeks, and if you receive inquiries, that's a good sign. Try your best to convert those inquiries into sales.
  4. I'm not sure if the Quick Response feature is available for new sellers. But based on my reading of the documentation, there doesn't seem to be any limitation. My recommendation is to reach out to Fiverr's support to confirm this. Additionally, you may want to try accessing Fiverr in incognito mode if you're using Chrome or using a different browser. It's possible that a browser extension is causing a conflict.

Wow, thank you for sharing this with us! I had no idea that Fiverr already had this feature available. I've actually been wishing that Fiverr would implement something like this, so it's great to hear that they already have it.
  6. Great job! Don't worry if they never gave you a review. Keep up the good work and you'll see the rewards in the long run.
  7. Wondering if these results will turn around? What do you think?
  8. That's definitely a scam. He's a scammer. I had a similar experience with someone I know. His family was going through some tough times, so he started looking for online jobs to make some extra cash. That's when he came across a job offer that was too good to be true - he was promised $25 per image to translate them into text. The catch? The client asked him to work outside of the platform he was using and not to accept any other jobs. He took the job because he really needed the money. He worked hard and completed all 100 images, but when it was time to get paid, the client sent him a link to open a new account and asked him to pay a subscription fee. That's when he realized he had been scammed. It's really frustrating how these scammers operate. They prey on people who are in need and exploit their vulnerabilities. I hate them for it. I'm sharing this story so others can be aware and avoid falling for the same trick. So be careful out there and don't let these bastards take advantage of you.
  9. Take note that social media algorithms are complex, and not all of your followers may be interested in your gig. Additionally, competition is high on social media, and your posts may get lost in the sea of other content.
  10. That resonates with me too. I believe that time, diligence in reading, and the ability to understand documentation or tutorials are the essential components for learning in this way.
  11. Share your story and experience with others by voting in the poll on "How Did You Learn Web Development?" Whether you're self-taught, took courses online or offline, or learned on the job, your unique journey is valuable and can inspire others.
  12. Starting with your personal network and reaching out to people you know who may need data entry services or can refer you to someone who does is one way of getting your first client.
  13. Generally, bright and bold colors tend to catch people's attention more than muted or neutral colors. It's also important to consider color contrast, readability, and overall design aesthetic when choosing a color scheme for your gig image. I think it also depends on the type of service or product being offered and the target audience.
  14. I can tell that some users prefer Webflow over WordPress for its ease of use and drag-and-drop interface. Others prefer WordPress for its flexibility and vast range of plugins and themes. It's true that Webflow University offers a comprehensive and well-organized learning resource for its users, while WordPress has a more scattered approach to educational materials. However, there is still a vast amount of educational materials available for WordPress, including online courses, tutorials, blogs, forums, and documentation.
  15. It's true but it does have some downsides. Firstly, its security can be a concern, as its open-source nature makes it vulnerable to hackers and malware. Secondly, WordPress requires regular updates and maintenance to keep the website functioning properly and secure. Finally, its flexibility and ease of use can also be a drawback, as it can lead to bloated code and slower website speeds if not optimized properly.
  16. This recent requirement of a display name is a positive change. It adds a more personal touch to my interactions with buyers, which can lead to better communication and more sales.
  17. I am curious about the role that AI will play in the future of our industry. How will machine learning and natural language processing impact the way we build and design websites? Will AI replace certain aspects of web development, or will it simply augment and enhance our capabilities? I'm excited to hear others' perspectives on this topic and to learn more about the potential future of our field.
  18. As a seller, it's important to stay aware of these patterns and adjust your approach accordingly. For example, if you notice an increase in messages from a particular region, you might consider tailoring your services or marketing efforts to better appeal to that audience.
  19. It may be time to reassess your Fiverr profile and gig descriptions. Consider optimizing your keywords, updating your portfolio with relevant examples of your work, and refining your pricing strategy. Additionally, consider promoting your services outside of Fiverr to attract new clients. Finally, avoid blocking potential clients without first trying to resolve any misunderstandings.
  20. Search engine optimization (SEO) plays a critical role in improving website visibility and attracting more organic traffic. Given the importance of SEO, some argue that web developers should have at least a basic understanding of SEO principles to create websites that are optimized for search engines and better serve their clients. What do you think?
  21. Some popular blogging platforms include WordPress, and Blogger. Each platform has its own strengths and weaknesses, so it's important to consider your specific needs and goals when choosing a platform.
  22. I completely agree with you that scalability is a crucial factor when it comes to choosing an eCommerce platform. However, I think that this issue can be solved with existing platforms as well. One advantage of using an existing platform is that it saves a lot of time and effort that would otherwise be spent on development. These platforms have already gone through extensive testing and have proven themselves to be effective. Furthermore, if there's a need for additional features in the future, you can easily utilize the apps feature that comes with the platform. Instead of developing from scratch, you can have it instantly, and it will work seamlessly with the existing platform. This is a great way to save time and money while also ensuring that your eCommerce store stays up-to-date and competitive. The only downside that I see with using an existing platform is that you'll have to live with unrequired extra code. However, you can minimize this by only installing the needed apps. By doing this, you can make sure that your eCommerce platform is lean and efficient, without any unnecessary code. In other words, while there may be some downsides, such as extra code, these can be minimized by taking a strategic approach to app installation.
  23. Allow me to offer my perspective. As a web developer, I have worked with various e-commerce platforms to set up or customize online stores for my clients. In my experience, Shopify is one of the most popular and reliable platforms that provides a complete solution for setting up an online store. With its user-friendly interface, powerful tools, and integrations with popular payment gateways, Shopify makes it easy to get started with e-commerce. Another platform I have worked with is WooCommerce, which is an e-commerce plugin for WordPress. It allows users to turn their WordPress website into an online store and offers a range of features and extensions that make it highly customizable. For larger businesses with a high volume of products and transactions, Magento is a popular choice. This open-source e-commerce platform provides a highly scalable and flexible solution for online businesses. BigCommerce is a cloud-based e-commerce platform that I have also used for online businesses. It offers a range of features, including a mobile-responsive design, multi-channel selling, and SEO tools, making it a popular choice for many businesses. Finally, Squarespace is a website builder that I have found to be ideal for small businesses that need a simple and easy-to-use platform to set up an online store. Each platform has its own unique features and benefits, and the best platform for your online store will depend on your specific needs and preferences. However, from my experience, Shopify stands out as a popular and reliable platform that provides a complete solution for setting up an online store. Whether you're a small business or a large enterprise, Shopify's user-friendly interface, powerful tools, and integrations with popular payment gateways make it a great choice for e-commerce. What are your thoughts on this?
