How are "Featured Gigs" picked? Is it automated?

How are “Featured Gigs” picked? Is it automated? Just saw a gig, first gig on the first page that is “Featured” that said: “On extended break. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK AT THIS TIME”. How is this featured and top of the front page? What are your thoughts?

You can apply and I have one that’s made 200+ sales but “It’s not the kind of thing we are looking for” (Despite fiverr’s pitch saying only big volume sales can apply) - So if you want to get featured it’s time to dust off that clown suit and poo someones name out into a hat.
