mattpettitt
Hi,Quite new to all this, can’t seem to get to the bottom of it. Could someone explain to me what the difference is between a 2d ebook cover and a 3d ebook cover? Is 3d (in this sense) just better quality?Would anyone have a link to each so I can actually see the difference please?Just trying to work out if its worth spending a bit more on a 3d one…Kind Regards,Matt
fonthaunt
I don’t know the answer to this. Have you looked for Sellers with examples up? I would buy from someone who knows the answer and can show you. If they don’t have an obvious sample up, perhaps asking them to send you a sample will help you weed out less knowledgeable designers. I do know of a seller who has experience in this area. If you want the name, feel free to message me.
cyaxrex
Hi,I’m an author of 5 books and only ever use 2d covers. A 3d cover is a cover which prospective buyers can toggle over and see the virtual book spine and back cover. 3d covers are used a lot for self help and in general non-fiction books but as an author I’d say that your main focus should be on creating as amazing a 2d cover as possible and ironing out any formatting and proofing errors in your finished ebook file.Hope this helps 🙂
