My personal opinion is that you should do all design work yourself if you have access to Adobe Illustrator or other computer graphics program.The most impotant thing is to get started. The logo will be his brand image so it need to be something mandatory original.My advices ? Read all logo design books, watch tutorials, go to graphic design courses, work hard.
