You can certainly talk to the buyer, and let them know you need more time. They might be willing to accommodate you. As far as the gig system is concerned, when the timer runs out, your delivery is late.Perhaps, for future gig purchases, you may want to adjust your deadline in order to allow you more time to complete your required tasks.
