Can't find where I can just cancel a brief. Why is this so friggen hard to do?

I've searched seemingly everywhere and can't find an answer. I posted a brief and want to delete it. How is that done? Or do I just need to leave that brief open forever? You would think it would be a super simple thing to do, but I keep getting sent in circles with no actual answer. Please help!
