Who am I to make a game for someone?

devroids

Question

Hello. I am developing a game for someone. In the "Credits" section of the game, how should I list myself (and the client)? I wrote the code, created some 3D models, made the sounds, and overall developed the game by myself.

Ask your client. Your client has full ownership of the game and can do what they want with it unless you stated otherwise on your gig page.

EDIT: Funny that the correct answer didn’t get marked as the solution. 😂

I'll be honest, I have no idea. And I'm doubtful that you'd get a clear answer in the forum.

It's best to ask someone who's in your industry and make an educated decision.

Let me point you in the right direction though

There was a Reddit thread that popped up in search for the term "how to credit myself as a video game developer". You should start your search there.

Good luck!
