Inquiry Regarding Enhancing Success Score on Fiverr

Question

Dear Fiverr Community

I am reaching out to seek guidance on how to improve my success score on the Fiverr platform. I have been an active member of the Fiverr since 2017 and have consistently maintained a 5-star rating. Over the years, I have successfully completed 632 orders, demonstrating my commitment to delivering high-quality service to my clients.

Regrettably, despite my best efforts, I have experienced 16 cancellations, with the most recent occurring in June 2023. Furthermore, I was surprised and deeply disappointed to see my level drop from the expected Top Rated status to Level 1 following the recent update to the level system. This unexpected change has significantly impacted my morale and has led to feelings of disappointment and depression.

I am struggling to focus on my work, and this decline in my level status is taking a toll on my mental health. It has become increasingly challenging to maintain productivity and enthusiasm in light of this setback.

I kindly request your assistance in navigating this situation and identifying steps I can take to improve my success score and regain momentum on the platform. Your guidance and support in this matter would be immensely valuable to me, and I am earnestly seeking ways to turn this setback into an opportunity for growth and improvement.

I have already thoroughly reviewed the Fiverr article on "Success Score" and I'm confident that I'm adhering to the recommended practices. Despite this, the negative impacts on my gig score persist, and I am uncertain about the underlying reasons.

Despite my best efforts to adhere to best practices, including effective communication and ensuring client satisfaction, I have noticed that one of my gigs is showing negative impacts in these areas. Specifically, the gig score is 4 and indicates "Effective communication: Negative impact" and "Client satisfaction: Strong negative impact."

As a diligent freelancer, I take great pride in my work and strive to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and service excellence. I am dedicated to fostering clear and open communication with my clients and consistently go above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction.

This comes as a surprise to me, that particular gig has received a 5-star rating, indicating that every client I have worked with has expressed satisfaction with my services. I am perplexed by the discrepancy between the gig score and client feedback. Moreover, I make it a priority to go above and beyond to ensure that each client is delighted with the results and the overall experience of working with me. I don't know what went wrong 😞

Same! The "success score" is nothing but mystery. "Effective communication" is affecting me negatively. I checked their guidance about how to improve and found that's exactly what I've been doing. Also, things like "effective communication" are already mysterious enough. Even for human it's hard enough to decide "effective". Not to mention for AI bots...

I firmly believe that the success score should be determined primarily based on ratings provided by clients, specifically in the areas of communication and satisfaction. However, it is imperative to acknowledge and address the limitations of the current review system, particularly the reliance on automated bots and the lack of consideration for individual client-seller interactions.

This automated system fails to consider the nuances and complexities of individual client-seller interactions, resulting in unfair outcomes for sellers. In my seven years of experience on the platform, I have encountered numerous instances where clients either do not understand how to rate or choose not to leave a review altogether, despite satisfactory communication and service delivery. It is unjust that sellers are consistently penalized for actions beyond their control, particularly when they have fulfilled their obligations and provided excellent service to their clients.

Agreed. In my opinion our rating should be affected mainly by delivery acceptance, stars and positive reviews. Neither sellers nor buyers should be affected by AI bots mistakes.
