Customer has made a mistake in hiring my gig

Hello! A few days ago a client hired a service in one of my gigs (despite having put that before hiring a service must contact me to offer personalized attention). After talking with the client we had to cancel the job since the service he needed was not performed by me. Is this cancellation going to affect my appearance in the search engines even though it was not my mistake? Thank you.

Was the order started, did he share the requirements and start the order?

If he started the order, then pretty sure it will affect you. If the order requirements were not sent, then no. 

As for cancellations, only someone from Fiverr that knows the way their algorithm works will be able to tell you a definite answer. From my experience, every time you cancel an order, it's detrimental for your account in one way or another, same with late orders, etc.

The only way to prevent a buyer from ordering directly is to sign up for the Seller Plus program and turn on the request-to-order feature.
