Why can't my potential clients no longer are able to contact me prior the first message I respond back?

I just started as a writer and a handful of people have tried to contact me about gigs but after I respond to some of there questions they can no longer contact me after my first response message. Why is that and how do I fix that? Thanks!

They might have been scammers, who were banned by Fiverr. These scammers target everyone, but especially newbies. They try to get sellers to communicate elsewhere or do large amounts of work without an upfront order.
