Audio file

I've been having a bit of a problem lately with an audio file that's been received, but the sound doesn't play at all when it's loaded (and it says the audio is playing--there's just no sound whatsoever). Has anyone had such an experience? Can I do anything to fix it?

It could be a multitude of possible reasons.

1. Person sent you a blank/silent or really really quiet audio file.
2. Missing necessary playback/audio codecs.
3. Your volume is turned all the way down. 😅
4. You've selected the incorrect playback device.
5. Your headphones/speakers are busted.

It might be a good idea to open up the audio in your DAW (if you have a DAW) to check if there actually are any tiny waveforms generated by the file.
