I create album covers for artists and also send them a 3D mockup with the order. I want to know if that mockup can mention my Instagram name.

Why would you share your Instagram on his photo?

If client accepts your promotion on his photo then yes but usually it is not allowed. You are suppose to even cover or blur his information from your portfolio images.
