Re-selling stock photos is illegal

Because of the frequency of this problem I think it’s worth mentioning here that despite the abundance of gigs offering stock photos, illustrations, graphics, and video clips, reselling content that you bought from Shutterstock, iStock, and other similar agencies is illegal and constitutes copyright infringement. You can also face possible legal action by the photographer/artists if it can be proven that you are re-selling their copyrighted work. And since some folks who do this post example photos in their gig listings, obviously it can easily be proven in many cases.



Just a warning to all, re-selling stock content is illegal and I’m happy to notify fiverr and stock image agencies of any gigs that re-sell stock images/assets.

Can’t fiverr prevent gigs like this from even being listed? Some sort of filter to block a listing that includes any mention of “Shutterstock” or something like that…
