My first attempt at buying services off of fiverr did not go so well. So now my money was refunded but not to me instead to Fiverr as " credit " to my account?

So what left my account as in Bank account is not refunded just offered as credit here???

You have to be kidding me . Straighten me out if I have this wrong.

Adding to what @madmoo said, if you are unhappy with the service, but still want it, I suggest that you take that credit and find a similar seller.



Just because one order went bad, it does not mean that Fiverr is a bad marketplace and all of your orders will go just as bad.



Find a similar seller. There are thousands in every category.
