Additional Delivery Time

One of my gigs received it’s first order with a mistake and the mistake was done by the buyer. He misread the gig and failed to provide the necessary files. As It was the first order I got confused about the proper action that should be taken. Finally the buyer offer to continue the order but he need time to get the necessary file and I was increasing the delivery time. Initially I offer 1 day for a order but that order takes 3 days. Now what I have noticed is that my average delivery shows 3 days as it was my only order on that gig. On that situation what should I do and is average delivery time discouraging the potential buyers?
