First time using the fiver forums

, sorry in advance if this is not in the right place!

Recently someone sent me a message, I assumed it was someone interested in myart gig but it turns out they wanted to use me to verify that they’re a US citizen for upwork.

Here is the image they’ve sent me, I’ve blocked the user @/upwok_account and I wanted to share this information with other members.

I’ve received this type of scam before. I’ve also gotten the “can you create thousands of gmail accounts from a US IP address?”

I simply respond with “No thank you” and block them as spam. That way it doesn’t affect my response rate.
