  1. I’ve said something like

“I can’t give you my e-m-ail add-ress because we are not supposed to contact each other
    outside Fiverr.”

and I’m sure I’ve used sentences like that several times ( and never got a warning), but after
reading about the “shouldn’t use the word outside Fiverr” in your messages, I switched over to
“we can only message each other using the message box here at Fiverr.”

    So far, it’s working.

  2. Hello,

Personally I believe that won’t qualify as racism, but nobody can tell.
There is a possibility for example, that when this person had a specific type of people in mind like white, Asian, or Hispanics, but if he said he didn’t want black people he might get accused of racism.
Maybe this person got worried and decided to just block you without getting too deep into the conversation.

I myself have not experienced racism BTW.

  3. It CAN help at times.
It does give you some level of exposure.

In fact I did buy a gig from this one seller because I saw her here at the forum, AND she had a very good gig.

Bottom line is, whether you get exposure or not, you must have a good gig. 🙂

  4. I am guessing you are referring to St.Level’s day.

Usually every month around the 15th, all the sellers go through an
evaluation period. If you have good sales/ratings, you get promoted to a
level 1 seller, level 2 seller, or a Top rated seller.
On the other hand, if you did not meet the requirements, you get demoted.

I’m sure there is a link somewhere that tells us about the evaluation thingy…

I’m too lazy to go look for it though…

  5. For a second I thought there was a third one at the top of the image…

    It’s 3am here ok?

3am means 03.00 for those unfamiliar with the 12 hour clock

For a split second, the white chair at the top of the photo did look like dog legs to me, and it’s 7:30 pm in Japan. I think you’e OK.

  6. I binge watch TWD when I go home to visit. Here in France nothing comes in until like 2 years after the initial release. So no spoilers! 😄 I’m only on Season 7!

I successfully talked two of my friends into watching the show.

They are both guys and now they have the

    BIGGEST man-crush on Daryl.

    Well, I’m not surprised…

We have a TWD binge-watch home party once a month.

We eat and drink while we watch people getting eaten alive, and after that

we head out to a BBQ restaurant and eat more.

  7. While I never watched a single episode of the Walking Dead (or Games of Thrones for that matter), I agree that your BBQ is much more important than what your stats say about world domination.

Awweee, thank you for agreeing with me!

You work hard, finish your orders, then enjoy a nice BBQ with your friends with some

    soda or wine.

    Life is good.

  8. I love traveling alone 😃

I have a plan to visit in Chandpur, next month (120km distance from home though)

    I hear ya! 😃

Is it like a 🎣 fishing town? Have you ever heard of ROHU?

I bought some today. My plan is to fry it (nice sauce) with some basmati 🍚

I’m gonna go see Eoin with Nika. HAHAHAHAHA.

Let’s see, what would be a good "souvenir/ hello nice to meet you finally in person"

gift from Japan to bring with me…?

    😍

I don’t know what @eoinfinnegan wants but… I want some Japanese snacks nom-nom, some spicy noodles and my very own Japanese 🍵

What do you want from the 🇺🇸?

What do you want from the 🇺🇸?

The biggest bag of peanut butter M&ms you can find, hahahaha.

  9. So since I’m seeing a lot of “I’m not getting orders please check out my gigs/please help” posts again, I’ll leave this here…hopefully it will help a bit.

First of all, it’s 100% OK to ask for help and advice. I have done it too.
However before doing so, you might want to go through this check list:

    1. Did you spend a LONG time creating your gigs?
DID YOU check other successful seller’s gigs, their descriptions, their sample images etc and get a clear idea of what a “good gig” is supposed to look like?
I spent hours researching and checking reading etc etc, I think most successful sellers have done the same.

    2. Did you double check your gig description, made sure there are no grammar errors, spelling mistakes, etc?
If you didn’t bother double checking, that means you are not serious and not professional. If English is not your first language and you are worried, hire someone to edit your description.

    3. ARE YOU SURE you are good at what you are providing?
I’ve seen way too many writing, editing, proofreading and translation gigs being offered by people who clearly does not have the skills. Same thing with logo, banner, business card designs. They just use an image they found online.

    4. Are the gig descriptions/ sample images yours?? Or did you simply STEAL them?
It’s amazing how many people come to the forum asking for help just to get their lies exposed. If you claim to be a graphic designer with several years of experience, you should have a good number of sample images that belongs to you.

    5. DID YOU READ EVERYTHING???
It seems like some people just don’t have the patience to read through everything.
Seriously, people, read. I know it’s a lot. But just read.

If English is your second language, I know it is hard. Still, you need to read it. If it’s too hard to understand, ask a friend/coworker/family member to help you.

If you can answer YES to all of them and are still having problems, then I think it’s safe for you to ask, and people will be more than willing to help.

If not…well, you might face an ugly situation. Just saying.

When you don’t have work, it is easy to fall into the cycle of watching TV, munching on snacks

    That’s EXACTLY what I’m gonna do!!! 😃

OK, joke aside ( no wait I’m not joking!!), last December was OK, at least for me.

I was hoping to get a bit more which I didn’t, but overall it was OK, as I mentioned in other posts I’m just used to dry-up periods and when orders dry up I do absolutely nothing about it, I just focus on other stuff…so I guess that’s what we should do like you said, focus on other stuff, there are always plenty of other things you can do aside from Fiverr.

    Great post as always! 😃
