Firstly, my country, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, was not listed, but it shows up on my seller’s profile. So i clicked a country from the caribbean, Saint Lucia. I used my National ID card, but then Saint Lucia own only takes passport and I used my passport and then i got the second email

You should contact CS and specifically point out where you’re from. You should start with this and possibly send them a wiki link. Because I wouldn’t be surprised if they “forgot”/didn’t take into account that smaller countries exist. It’s possible that you’re the first-ever fiverr user from your country and this is where the issue stems from.

To be considered to work for what they think will take 30 minutes and earn $5 you MUST type Wasik at the top of your proposal. But fear not cause “if this will go to done perfectly you will be hired again and again for more works”

After going through budgets/demands like this on that other site we don’t talk about, I asked my friend who was an experienced freelancer there how he managed to find work. He told me: “Don’t worry, these are not the actual prices, these are invitations to haggle. You name your price when you apply”.

I assumed BR worked the same way. But apparently, it’s just a never-ending festival of human delusion in there. These screenshots (and many similar ones that I’ve seen posted before) are mind-boggling.

PS. Magic hidden words are a big turn-off when it comes to project descriptions.

If you mean one of your 3 slides is used by another person in its entirety, as is (same text, same logo placement, etc.), you might want to place a bigger copyright with your name on it. Or even report the situation if one of your slides was blatantly stolen by someone.

If you mean that a stock image or illustration that you used is being used by someone else as well (but the overall design of the slide is different), there is not much you can do. Stock images and illustrations can be used by anyone if they have a license to do so.

I do agree that making friends now takes an extra effort, though. Working together (not necessarily partying together while wearing silly hats) creates a special bond that becomes friendship for life pretty easily, at least for me.

My husband saw them in concert about a year ago in Memphis. He loves NIN and Trent. He was able to finally cross them off his bucket list, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t go back if he could.

I saw them live for the first time in 2013 and I honestly cried for a few opening songs. Because they’ve never even come near to where I live before that and in 2009 Trent announced he hand no plans to tour again.

In 2013, the closest they got to me was Zurich. I had no visa and had just got a new job where I was solely responsible for all the deadlines. My boss told me: “You have a good taste in music, you can go,” and then my visa miraculously came through. I still can’t believe I pulled that entire adventure off. I’ve seen them live 2 more times since then but the first time was definitely the most memorable one. NIN is one of those bands worth seeing live even if you’re just a casual fan, that’s for sure.

Nine Inch Nails is my favorite band so I’m very receptive to noise/industrial/minimal techno. I mostly listen to podcasts/audiobooks when I work, though. I’m just more productive listening to people talking for some reason.

You’ve done 70+ orders with them? I had someone message me that way and I refused to work with him. My nerves can’t take that. Every sentence he said was a riddle which I spent five minutes trying to decipher.

I use a lot of communication (as I’m sure you do too) and it just isn’t worth it to try and deal with someone that difficult. I have a lot of sympathy for you.

Rare revisions, generous tips. It’s like they need someone to just accept them as they are, I don’t know. 🙂

I have two 3* reviews, both times there was the tiniest indication that something might be off but people would just refuse to elaborate. After all the questions and attempts to guess, I’d just throw my hands in the air at some point.

That’s the only positive thing about changes in feedback removal policy. I became more accepting of negative feedback, justified or not.

Back to reviewing buyers, I have a regular buyer who has the strangest manner of communication. It’s like every sentence is a riddle that I have to decipher. And they don’t use capital letters or paragraphs. And update the requirements 10 times after the order is placed. And randomly request faster deliveries in the middle of it all.

Sometimes I feel like I should leave a lower review just to warn people that this person is very chaotic to work with but we’re 70+ orders in and I don’t want to ruin the relationship.

I think the lowest I went was 3* while, honestly, the person was insufferable and deserved less. But the project was finished and they seemed to have a blast working with me so I just kept it at 3.

I rarely have experiences that are downright negative so usually if something was off but not too off, I’ll leave 4* and describe in a sentence or two what the issue was.

I don’t find self-help books useful at all but I’ve read Irwin Yalom’s “Staring at the sun” recently. My therapist suggested it and I thought, “yeah, whatever, what I need is more useless advice that doesn’t apply to me”. But it’s more of an in-depth view of confronting one’s mortality and overall fear of death. A very balanced and honest one, from a clinical, historical and philosophical point of view. I liked it a lot.

It turns out, he writes fiction as well so I’ll be definitely picking up one of those.

People who immediately go to state that your delivery is “useless” to them are usually scammers (assuming you’ve delivered everything fully and properly).

Just deliver your work with a screenshot of your gig description (where it says “no revisions”). And be prepared they’ll try to get a refund through Customer Support.

The problem is, it’s not binding. You may want them to contact you but you can’t force them to do that because fiverr as a platform doesn’t require buyers to contact sellers prior to placing the order. So it’s your preference, not a rule. It’s unfortunate and unfair but the only solution I’ve found for myself that actually worked was raising prices.

But you may try to contact CS and describe the situation in detail because occasionally they do resolve situations like this in seller’s favor (the order gets canceled but the completion rate remains unaffected).

There is also a chance that although they’ve assumed you do vectors based on how your artworks look, they won’t have anything against having it in raster.

[Does editing your gig effect selling?]

Not in my experience.

Also, according to CS if you can’t find your gig in the search you can contact them immediately (as opposed to waiting for 48 hours). I know that CS tends to contradict itself on many issues but that’s the answer I got from them.
