1. I've recently played that! They've added it on xbox game pass. Really immersive stuff with the fact that you have a quite RPG-ish story in a survival building game. You tried Season of Discovery? It's really a true nostalgic experience but with new elements. Highly recommend.
2. What I would do, is search the relevant keywords (that you're using for your Gig) in incognito mode, and see how many competitors are there, and how many times I can see the same "promoted" mark on the same Gig in the first page, when refreshing the page like 4-5 times. Like that you can identify how many people from your field are promoting their Gigs on Fiverr, and which one seems to be the highest bidder. Also, if I may ask, around how many daily impressions are you getting on the Gig you're looking to promote? For example, the majority of my Gigs sit at around 200-250 impressions/day, but one in slightly different category sits at around 600/day. From this I take the conclusion that one of the fields is much more in demand than the other ones, at least here on Fiverr (note that I appear in the first page with both when searching). Anyhow, If I were you, I'd give it a try for a week. Promote with a small bid and a small daily budget for a week, and basically empirically find if it's worth or not. At a 5$/day cap, in worst case you loose 35$ in a week. It's not the end of the world, but then you'd be at least familiarized with how it works and maybe someone will order! A method I use to see the effectivenes of the promoted Gigs is that I filter to see the data for only 1 day (you can select to see the results on the calendar in the promoted gigs window).
3. Never tried Spiritfarer, but I just googled it, and the artwork looks fantastic! I will give it a try right away! ❤️ Thanks for this gem!
4. I remember playing it on Garena and Game Ranger or Vobly. Nowadays they've re-released it in a definitive edition you can play on Steam and it has a competitive ladder, new updates regularly and a super glued playerbase and also competitive eSport scene! Highly recommend to watch the NAC or the Redbull Wololo Finals from any year.
5. OH MY GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! ANOTHER GOTHIC FAN <3. We're so few hahaha. I still remember the buggy days of Gothic III indeed. I've replayed it last year with tons of mods that theoretically have the role of making the game more playable (there's a whole video on youtube I can link you to if you want, that explains how to instal those 93248239483 mods). The athmospphere, the setting, the music and the RPG elements are unmatched to this day. The fact that you don't have markers on the map for quests, and you have to immerse yourself into the game to find out the objectives is my favourite thing about it! I am too super excited for the remake! Can't wait to play it <3!!!! Old camp team! I've also loved Risen (1). Sadly, the pirate theme of 2 and 3 wasn't for me. Also, I've played like 10 hours of Elex, but it wasn't my thing either. I remember how excited I was when Arcania released, but how dissapointed I was immediately after trying it haha. That game doesn't deserve to be in the Gothic Series. Anyhow, I'm so happy I've met another Gothic fan here! This is beyond unexpected haha!
6. Hi! How does this work? You set yourself a maximum bid for one click on the desired Gig, and a maximum budget per day. If you then search your gig on incognito mode, you'll see that it will appear sometimes as "Promoted" in key areas of the search page (top, middle, bottom). When people click on your gig, you pay an ammount that is set to be the maximum you've chosen on the previous step (maximum ammount for bidding). It's not always the maximum, since you're competing with others that might have their bid lower than your maximum, so you might pay once 1/6 of your maximum bid, and other times your full maximum bid. You'll never pay more than your maximum bid for one click. After one month, you will recieve an invoice for promoted gig costs, and it will be automatically substracted from your Fiverr's balance. If your balance is at 0, you will have a negative balance and the cost will be substracted from your future earnings. Rough estimate of costs? This is highly variable regarding how many gigs you're promoting, and what's your top bidding and budget for a day. For example, my statistics look as follows for the past year: Impressions: 49.000, Clicks: 2.600, Orders: 87, Ammount Spent: 980$, Sales: 6.000$. My daily budget was always somewhere between 10 and 15$/day, with days that were fully depleted before evening, and days where only 1/10 of my budget was spent. Keep in mind that there're months when I've sold over 10-12 orders from promoted gigs, and others where none came and I was bleeding the money. But overall, it worked quite good for me. How effective is this promotion mechanism? Again, it really deppends on your market, and overall your bids and daily budget. The great fact is that you pay only when someone clicks your gig, but that still doesn't mean the person that's clicking, will order. For me, it was quite effective, and based on the above mentioned statistics, I've spent 1k to earn 6k, so at the end of the day, I was with a rough 5k income only from promoted orders. It could've been better, since from 2.600 clicks I've got only 87 orders. If you're willing to go for promoted gigs, make sure your gigs are highly convertible. You don't want people to click on your gig because you have a nice thumbnail, pay the click, and then be thrown off by your packages or description. So first step, I would say, is to make sure that you can maximize the conversion rate of clicks that are turning into orders. I've learnt this the hard way.
7. Haaaa I've played that, but long after it's release. My first TES was Oblivion. I was mesmerized by the graphical output at that time, and after finishing it on different classes, I've went into Morrowind. Great game. In my opinion, it has the deepest lore and it has the most "RPG" elements compared to the other TES titles. It's such a ride, and it's lovable. The clunky combat and animations have their charm. It's in no way comparing to Oblivion or Skyrim in combat, but the story telling and the RPG aspect of it it's almost unbeatable up to day. The game wasn't about the combat from the start and I think that's where a lot of people are wrong when getting into Morrowind, expecting it to be an ARPG, and not focusing on the roleplaying aspect. Have you tried TESO? It has a whole chapter set in Vvardenfell, with the Vivec's complete questline and so on. It's a good nostalgia trip, eventhought it hasn't the same charm as the original game. The good part is that every quest is voice acted and it's easy to get into. Give it a try when you have some spare time! It's not that demanding on your specs as well and it can run on any kind of machine with the right settings.
8. Haaaaaaa don't text and drive!!! 😆 I've tried Valorant myself, but it seems like I don't have the reflexes to compete with zoomers and I mostly stayed in respawn screen haha.
9. Oh yes!! I know Suikoden! Miki Higashino did an outstanding job when scoring the soundtrack for the series. I've heard at some time that they were going to create a remastered version for the first 2 games, to port them onto Nintendo Switch. Would love to see those remasters come out this year!
10. Inspired by @Kesha's "What's your go-to comfort food?" you can find here https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/331576-what’s-your-go-to-comfort-food/ , I want to raise you the following question: What's your go-to comfort Video Game? That one game that you always go back to, immerse into that world and feel like you're home. I'll start by shouting out Lineage II - The Chaotic Chronicle, and it's expansions until the 6th one (Interlude). It's my all time go-to comfort video game, that I've been playing on and off since 2005, and come back visiting it at least 2-3 times/year. It's a Korean MMORPG, developed by NcSoft, designed around no-life grinding & farming to get the best gear and compete in comunity driven economy and politics (huge clan vs. clan wars for Castles, Teritories, Epic Bosses & farming spots). Since the official servers have updated to a predatory cash-grabbing business model of pay to win, I'm playing on and off on private fan made servers that are running the old versions of the game. This game is by far my favorite one, since it has (in my personal opinion) the best soundtrack ever made, that inspired me to start my business as a game composer. The influences of the Lineage II OST are present in all of the soundtracks I compose, and I really hope one day I'll be able to match the masterpieces composed by the maestro Bill Brown. Video of the craziest Castle Siege I've ever participated in :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egpb18ASnCI A piece from the soundtrack, conducted by Bill Brown played by Moscow's Filarmonica: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iuvm8XUrULU Honourable mentions, on my top go-to comfort games: Gothic I, II & III (outstanding soundtrack composed by Kai Rosenkranz) World of Warcraft Classic, TBC & WOTLK Age of Empires 2 Half Life 1 & 2 (still waiting for 3) What's yours? I'm so eager to find out what hidden gems I've been missing!
11. We have something similar here in Romania as well! They're called "Colțunași” and we serve them with fried onions on top as well. They're so delicious! If you like the pierogies, I highly recommend trying fried Gyozas since they're on the same page, but with an Asian twist.
12. Oh! It's super easy to cook it this way! ❤️ Just give it a try!! 🤤 You don't even have to watch it or turn it or anything. It basically cooks itself. Pro-tip: if you're going to buy frozen/refrigerated files, add some salt and leave the fish on the salt for like 10-15 minutes so the salt can dry out the excess water from it before cooking it. Besides that, just throw it in the oven easy peasy!
13. Sounds like a plan! My mouth is already watering just by reading those! Thanks a lot, man!
14. Please share the recipe with us, @texvox! It sounds amazing and I'd love to surprise my loved ones with this! ❤️
15. Oil Free Fish & Chips. It's outstandingly fast to cook, and it's so much joy to eat. Just fillet your fish (literally any fish works), cut your potatoes and season them with paprika, throw everything in the oven for 20 minutes, and in the meantime make yourself a quick salsa & a sauce. And don't forget the wassabi 🤩 It's around 650 kcal, with 50g protein for a 600g meal (200g fish, 200g potato, 200g salad/salsa). You can get everything ready in less than 30 minutes, eat like a madman, and still be able to eat desert after hahaha. Bonus photo of the food, and me with the food before going into the oven (photogenic, I know).
