I have been observing for the past 2-3 orders that there is a 30-45 minute delay after a buyer leaves a public review. Basically, after the buyer leaves a review, it takes 30-45 minutes to receive a notification, see it reflected on the order page, and get a prompt to review back. During this delay, I have no clue if the buyer has even left a rating or not, which keeps me in the dark and makes me anxious about the review as what the buyer has left.

For example: in this order, I received a notification at 8:45 PM that the buyer had left a review and that I could leave one in return. But just after I left a review and the buyer's review became visible, the time went back to 8:09 PM, which is when the buyer originally left the review. There's about a 45-minute delay in receiving the notification and prompt on the order page.

Even two days ago, when I asked a buyer to leave an honest review, he said, "Didn't you receive the review yet? I have already left one." Then, about 30 minutes later, I received a notification that the buyer had left a review and that I could now review back.

Is this intentional and does it have something to do with the 'edit review' update? Is Fiverr intentionally causing this delay to give buyers some time to rethink their decision in case they want to edit their review? If that's the case, it's utterly frustrating and is ruining our experience. Is anyone else experiencing this same issue or is this just me?

@Kesha @milos_siena Could you please check if this is a bug or if it is intentionally being enforced by Fiverr (just to give some time to buyers to edit their review, just in case if they want to)?

I've been facing the same issue. I contacted Fiverr support and they confirmed that this is an intentional update. 😞

Just out of interest, what would make you interested in sharing your LI profile with Fiverr? Like, in a perfect world where they made something useful that suited you perfectly?

I can't really think of one, but I use LI like, once a year, if that. I usually run away screaming after reading the first few posts on my feed. Why are people on LI like that?

    Exactly 😂

I don't use LinkedIn much either. Mainly because it's interface has got quite complicated and confusing in recent years, plus some weird posts in the feed, which is what you mentioned.

  3. Strange, I got the same email a few weeks back but I ignored it as I didn't want to share my LinkedIn profile. I haven't received it again, but since you said you are getting it for the second time, I guess I'll get it again too sooner or later. It's just annoying.

About time. Some gen alpha intern must have come up with that idea in the first place.

I don't know what to think of this, honestly.

This will make our support after the order is completed more important as well. If they buyer has a question or want something changed after the order is technically complete, and you say "no", they can fry you in an updated review. Just something to think about for sellers who are very strict on their revision policy. This change would only be "fair" if sellers also could edit their review. But that won't happen.

True but even if sellers were able to edit their review, it’d make no difference as the buyers have nothing to lose but it’s a good thing that we can easily prevent this by submitting our review.

Nah! Fiverr was always there to back buyers earlier. Buyers could easily contact customer support and change their reviews. This has happened to me when I declined to work with a buyer on future orders due to hiccups and bad communication from the buyer. Just because I declined to work with that buyer, he approached customer support and changed his review to 1 star, lied about our interaction, and manipulated the review.

But at least, buyers now won't be able to do this (as stated in the current update that even customer support won't be able to change reviews).

That’s messed up. I don’t understand why Fiverr didn’t check the situation on your order and changed the review based on what the client said.

Luckily this has never happened to me. Some buyers tried to get their review changed by contacting support, but they were unsuccessful.

I mean.. they can't change once you leave your own review. So it's less manipulative. I can see some manipulative buyers stating "hey I left you a bad review, but if you do X amount of extra work, I will change the review". But I think that's a negligible amount.

Yep, guess we just gotta be quick to leave a feedback once the buyer has submitted their review and it shouldn’t cause any issues.

And this 2 years public scores thing is also messed up and unfair.

  7. I was just about to start a thread on this, but you’re quick haha!

I have to say, I'm not too fussed about the changes overall. I do think the editable reviews could be a little easier for buyers to exploit your services, though. Just a thought!

I've had a few experiences with buyers who were a little impatient. If you're sleeping and they ask you some questions after leaving a review and you don't respond quick enough, they might think you're ignoring them on purpose and threaten you by changing the review with the help of Fiverr support.

Luckily, Fiverr doesn't help with these things, but now that we have this feature, I feel like it'll be easier for these buyers to exploit your services.

But the great thing is that you can stop them from editing the review by simply leaving your feedback. What do you think?

I offer Pinterest Management services. I have a client that ordered a monthly package. They work for a brand and are extremely specific with their requirements, which is fine. The deadline for this service is 12 days. It is listed as 12 days because I need the full 12 days to complete the work. The client stopped replying to my messages for four days, meaning that I was extremely limited in being able to complete their work. On top of that, the client requested I get their permission with each change I want to make to the account, which would be fine if they answered my messages.

After four days they responded that this wasn't a priority compared to other tasks and that they were busy. I since haven't heard from them, so I have requested a four day extension, which they have ignored, and I have completed the order as much as I can without their input.

There is just under 24 hours left on the deadline. I've done as much as I can, but I am worried I will get a bad review because of this order. Additionally, what can I do to ensure this doesn't happen again.

    Thank you for reading!

Pretty relatable. I've myself faced such buyers who do not respond to messages at all. In this situation, the best you can do is to complete the order according to their requirements and deliver it. They can later on ask for revisions if they want to but as you mentioned "the client requested I get their permission with each change I want to make to the account" sounds very complicated. 😂
