  1. I would consider the Order Requirements page as one of the most essential parts of a good gig, right up there with gig videos, images, and description.

This is where you want to be as thorough as possible to cover any and all instructions needed to properly complete an order, even without any additional buyer communication.

Lackluster or nonexistent order requirements are the source of so many troubles, from misunderstandings and arguments to deadline extensions and cancellations.

  2. I just had my best month on Fiverr, but that was primarily anchored by one well-performing gig while all my other gigs have fallen off the Grand Canyon.

I’ve been fiddling with the SEO title and tags of my other gigs but am more than slightly hesitant to do anything to my only solid performing gig. I do need to update it, but don’t want to accidentally trigger the end of it’s positive momentum.

  3. There are two kinds of performance that Fiverr keeps track of:

    A) performance as a seller (converting prospects into buyers)

I am getting sick of students asking me to do their school work. 🤨

Lately, I have had an average of two “do my homework for me” requests per day. And if 3.0 does not like it when a seller does not convert prospects into buyers that is harmful to my account!

I’m left thinking of all the sellers without scruples who don’t have a single care performing academic work and are potentially being rewarded for their high conversion rate…

This is not an issue exclusive to just writers and tutors. I’ll very likely get dinged for not wanting to perform a script that violates my own personal standards, but there are other sellers who’ll say and do anything, even if it violates Fiverr TOS or community standards, and likely get away with it.

  4. It’s damn hard to start on Fiverr, especially in an over-saturated field that has so many desperate, new, incompetent sellers who think using Google Translate qualifies them as worthy of being paid.

Trying to compete in the technical/linguistic categories of Fiverr is something I completely avoided and instead went straight to the creative/artistic categories where individuality is far easier to showcase.

  5. Trying to do VO while sick or with a shot voice will obviously show in a recording and doesn’t do anyone (particularly you) any good.

Pausing your gigs is debatable as the safest choice, but extending delivery times is the long-term solution if ever you are briefly under the weather.

  6. Malware/spyware that throttles the unknowing victim’s GPU to earn crypto currency for someone else.

    Sounds absolutely terrible.

And with the current ridiculous shortage and price hike of graphics cards (influenced in part due to crypto miners), it would be absolutely scummy to create and distribute mining malware/spyware that contributes to people’s GPU’s being overtaxed and dying prematurely.

  7. Hmm. The wording of two of the private feedback questions heavily lean towards certain responses and retracts from others.

The “How would you rate the overall quality” question really shouldn’t have “Perfect” as the top rating, as perfection is virtually impossible to achieve, and should have something more realistic like “Very Good,” “Wonderful,” “Excellent,” etc.

And the “How closely did this delivery meet your expectations” question should have a “Nearly As Expected” as option 4, “As Expected” as the top normal option, and "Exceeded Expectations as a bonus sort of 6 out of 5.

With the current wording, if a seller completes an order as expected and does a very good (but not “perfect”) job, they would receive a 4/5 and another 4/5. And we all know that, unfortunately, anything under 5 stars has some sort of detrimental impact tied along with it.

  8. Hi All,

Can someone guide me on this issue?

I was reached by a customer. He placed the order and I delivered him. He gets away. The order was completed automatically. Then he came back and placed another order. Then he said I don’t like it and then he gets away. that order was completed again automatically.

After some days he came back and was asking for a refund. I told him that a refund is not an option and he said that we will do something in the future. I agreed.

Now he came with blackmailing that if I don’t do his work he will put up the matter with Fiverr. I am busy with my current orders.

What should I do? Do I need to block him or contact fiverr? Will fiverr support me?

I told him that a refund is not an option and he said that we will do something in the future. I agreed.

Why did you ever agree to work again with someone who demanded a refund from a previous completed order?

  9. It seems like the only sellers who have received the invite currently are TRS. Maybe more people will get the invite later, though that might be after the 200 discounted ones. Or maybe it will always be TRS or level 2 and TRS like you mentioned previously.

    Though the help says:

Learn the best practices behind high-level achievement and how to obtain a new level.

but if they’ve only given it to TRS they won’t be able to obtain a new, higher level .

edit: my mistake, it’s been given to both level 2 and TRS.

edit2: maybe it takes level and number of reviews, ratings, stats etc. into account before it sends the invite.

I am “barely” a level 2 seller and happened to qualify to enroll. There are many level 1 sellers with more reviews under their belt than I do, so who knows how much each individual criteria is weighed.

  10. I have another question. The coach assigned to sellers who join the Plus program are stated as being an “expert in your industry,” but what if a seller provides services in multiple very different categories? How would a coach be assigned for such a seller?

Well, got my answer. Sellers select with whom they think is most fitting as a coach.

  11. Ok peeps…this is an amazing opportunity! It’s affordable coaching! Cant you see that?! Coaching is so expensive and stops many people from learning and growing! Don’t get stuck! Take advantage of this coaching opportunity! Yes! Yes! Yes! I’m tired of learning the hard way!

I don’t think there are those objecting the coaching/mentoring part of the program, but the biggest hang-up is the program influencing Fiverr promotional listings…

I have a number of reservations currently, but am interested (and curious if Fiverr would even consider me eligible in the first place).

  12. I guess the free customer success program that was possible to be eligible for for level 2 and TRS is shuttering its doors and being replaced with a pay system?

Pay for preferential treatment to receive Fiverr’s Choice, Rising Talent, and Promoted gig means all these listings will be dominated by a small group of sellers willing to shell out as much money as possible for as much on-site exposure as possible. Hooray…

And don’t tell me it’s just 29 bucks. Once these types of pay to play programs start up, they have a nasty tendency to grow into multiple “tiers” or “levels” that require more and more money to access.

  13. Is the money for the order more important to you or is the high probability of getting a negative review on your profile more important?

You can either accept the cancellation and have worked for no pay, or challenge the cancellation for the possibility (not guaranteed) of getting paid and negative feedback.

Both courses of action are far from ideal, but unfortunately are the circumstances.
