  1. First, I would recommend you remove unlimited revisions from all your offered gigs.

Your gig images are brightly colored, but plain, with lots of text and several small, hard to see symbols/images inserted. The more concise the text, the better.

There are grammatical issues with your gig descriptions, gig titles, and gig images.

That's all that immediately jumped to my mind.

  2. I use a closed set of cans to monitor my recordings since that gives me immediate feedback on how the actual recording sounds. In my small booth, speech is quite dampened and isn't an accurate depiction of how it sounds when picked up by my mic. It also allows me to notice any of the annoyingly imperceptible mouth sounds I make so I can immediately do a retake. Powerful and sensitive mics are as much a blessing as they are a curse. 😅

  3. We are currently limited to six post reaction emojis (far too few IMO) and CONSTANTLY find myself grimacing at the flawed or flat out harmful advice posted ad nauseum on the forum.

I think it would at least give a quick visual indicator of how many forum users do not agree with what a posts states and all but the "confused" and "sad" emoji are positive reactions but are not exactly befitting of the role.

I know this will go nowhere, but just wanted to make the suggestion public...

    😬

  4. I don't know who or what the OP considers an "expert," but I immediately noticed many, MANY grammatical errors in both the gig descriptions and even the gig titles. It actually makes it difficult to attempt to read and comprehend what you are saying.

-Oh, and offering unlimited revisions is, simply put, a terrible idea.

  5. Video and animation is quite a broad category... Must have your hands full. 🤹‍♀️

I'd hope for the forum to somewhat revert to its previous state as the current iteration is absolutely inundated with users spamming terrible advice and banal replies in an meaningless attempt to "level up" their forum rank.

Oh, introductions. I've been active on Fiverr for approaching two years, and I primarily offer humorous or oddball spokesperson videos and voice over.

    2. Look for sellers with at least 200 reviews. This will ensure the reviews are legit. Unfortunately, there are still scammers who buy or trade reviews.

Whew. 😅 I'm just a smidgen over 200 total total reviews, so I guess I barely qualify! Account and review traders should be hung upside down by their toenails... 🦶🦶

    5. Do not message them via inbox, unless it's necessary.  As a buyer, once you contact a seller that way, they have unlimited access to contact you. It's a headache.

It's so sad and infuriating that there are unscrupulous sellers who would twist something so foundational like messaging into a means of uninvited communication and harassment.

  7. Amount of hours "spent" on Fiverr is nigh irrelevant. The main attraction for sellers on Fiverr is that ones gigs may passively receive orders at any time from around the world WITHOUT requiring the seller to be online rummaging through BR, auditioning, or hunting down leads. The key to receiving orders in this manner is by having thoughtful, well designed, and appealing gigs which offer services people may actually want.

Too many sellers these days are simply copycats posting services that some "guru" told them would lead to easy money...

As for their descriptions, not all Pro sellers are created equal, let’s just leave it at that.

Ah, proof that even pros may turn their nose upon fellow pros! I guess this warrants the creation of a new level with a hoity-toity name like "Elite," "Expert," or the "Bee's Knees." 🐝

**Please only comment if your Gigs have the same issue and you are not getting new orders/ clients from past 7-8 months.

There's actually quite a LOT of forum members who have yet to get orders for many many months. The only problem is in if they are still desperately hanging around and willing to contribute to your particular thread.

  10. The forum is a separate entity from ones main site profile. THERE IS NO RELATION BETWEEN FORUM ACTIVITY AND GIG PERFORMANCE.

No one can truly be "always active" on the Fiverr site, so one who attempts to appear so is lying and most likely using ToS violating programs like browser auto-refreshers. Being online has VERY LITTLE impact on gig visibility. Instead, divert that time and energy from trying to deceive buyers into improving ones profile and gigs.

Bud, you just stumbled into the wrong thread to try to peddle that 💩.

This is a thread calling out the clueless "Fiverr gurus" and their terrible advice and ToS violating practices. There's pleeeenty of other threads to try to "share" that garbage to users who only reply with responses that are less than 5 words in total.

    3. When I am a buyer I definitely pay attention to the 'YouTube gurus' because video is the best way for me to learn and that is where the most information is. I'll be sure to filter that info as well.

😬 The self proclaimed "gurus" are out for only one thing. Views. They are a massive source of misinformation or outright terrible advice for online freelancers, but unfortunately, a throng of new and desperate sellers heed their words religiously...

    5. This persons profile (forum) does suck, so she can't be an expert on a strong profile. So why should I believe this post?

What does ones forum profile have to do with their seller account profile? 😕 Many sellers do not even have a forum profile or just have a basic bare bones profile and don't put any extra effort into it because it is irrelevant to ones main account.

    6. When I get ready to buy something I would prefer another Fiverr forum contributor. Because that is likely place to find the best sellers that already connects me with a great communications platform., Fiverr.

MOST sellers are not active on the forum. Most Level Two, TRS, and Pro rated sellers are not active on the forum. A plethora of new desperate sellers who heed terrible advice that forum activity = seller profile visibility, and seemingly only a smattering of helpful souls and masochists are consistent forum contributors these days what with the terrible state the forum is in.

For someone relatively new to the platform and the forum, it seems the impression you are leaving on a number of "forum regulars" is not one of positivity. I'll just leave by saying:

Why do you suppose that is? Price barrier resistance?

The point was actually mentioned in one of the SP seminars (can't remember which exactly) but it was stated that there have been a number of sellers who qualified and were accepted for Pro status, but then eventually wished to be reverted back to a "regular" seller profile.

Starting gig price might be a reason why, or perhaps jumping through the hurdles to maintain Pro rating (I don't really know what that entails), or some other reason.  🤷‍♂️
