I would say the Discount Coupon

Oh yes, that as well! I completely forgot about it.

I believe it's also a Seller Plus exclusive?

But then again, I believe the discount is coming from Fiverr's profits or your own? Are you spitting it evenly?

Sorry for asking more questions 😅 I'm just really intrigued! 🤩

  2. When in doubt, contact Customer Support! ☎️👩🏽‍💻☎️👨🏽‍💻☎️

That IS concerning if it's only happening to THAT particular package and nothing else.

Maybe there's an error in the system?

Did you take out a Cash Advance or are using Promoted Gigs? Those are the only options I'm aware of that can take money from you in small chunks without you realising it.

  3. "How I can increase Order response rate?"

Increase the rate at which you respond to orders. Simple 😄

    Okay, okay, I'll be serious.

Respond to ANY message you receive. Even if it's spam or you intend to block them, you must respond first to avoid your response rate going down.

Bother I'm telling about order response rate not inbox response rate.

Responding to orders isn't what decreases your Order Response Rate, reply to messages in your inbox is what affects it (I don't know why it's named like that but whatever).

If you're comfortable, you can show us a screenshot of what it is you are talking about so we can better understand what your problem is.

I'm going to assume you meant *yesterday.

    Otherwise, how???

In any case, filter through your inbox for "unread" messages and see if theirs anything hiding there. This happens to me a lot so I make sure to check at least once every day or two to make sure nothing is hidden from me.

The topic-starter posted this ONE YEAR AGO. You are congratulating someone for something notably outdated. Please be aware of forum topic dates.

The forum really needs to get better at know when to shut down discussion threads 😅

I think 3-6 months should be a good enough window of opportunity to close things down.

Looks like your designer delivered your sample as the actual delivery - which is something they are NOT supposed to do.

This is most likely it. The buyer may have been informed that you are new to the site, and tried to take advantage of the fact you may not understand how things are done.

It is on them for creating this confusion as they shouldn't have sent samples and in-progress-work as the final delivery. Even to a veteran buyer that is just distasteful.

Were they probably running out of time with the order and did this instead? It's another tactic were sellers will force a revision from a buyer, basically giving them infinite more time to finish the work. Again, distasteful and just plain wrong.

Although I'll give the seller the benefit of the doubt that they might be new as well.

Please could somebody offer some advice, I'm a bit confused as I've never used Fiverr before

The portal gave me two options 'Request Revision' or 'Deliver' so I clicked the option to say that we were happy to take delivery (as we did not want any further revisions) thinking that that we would then say which design we wanted so that she could then go ahead and create all of the other elements of the 'Premium' package that we have paid for using our approved design.

I feel like for new buyers, Fiverr should take extra steps to clarify their process.

Being on a new platform and not knowing how things work can be scary. Especially with money involved and people at every turn trying to scam you out of it.

They should basically do this 👇🏽

  6. Just a little addendum to this.

A recent notification I got about the Seller Plus Program was that I could get the advanced pay feature. But going to their tab and checking through their T&C didn't provide that information.

So an extra question for Seller Plus users, do you get Advance pay? Or did you already have that feature? Was advance pay now move to be a Seller Plus perk?

I'm pretty sure someone (Vickie 💕) would show me the exact part of Term & Conditions where it was explained and my dumbass ADHD brain missed it 😅

  7. So recently I've been getting bombarded with emails and reminders from Fiverr to try their Seller Plus Program. I've been getting offers for it since I believe it first rolled out onto the platform and I've never been interested in it because it didn't seem to offer me anything I needed.

I know there are other sellers on this platform that swear by it but it just never appealed to me and I was doing just fine without it. To each their own, you know?

Now Promoted Gigs is a feature I've tried on and off. Back when my gigs would be either one of 20 or 200, it didn't really do much to help me stand out because I was always on the first and second row of the first page (niching down is a blessing). But now with so many more sellers on the site, I've gone back to using it with positive results.

I just felt for the longest time it wouldn't help much since you "paid per click". And a lot of other sellers like to check out their competition without the intention of buying, so it became a situations were you'd just end up paying to be more visible for other sellers to click your gig without buying. I still have mixed feelings about it, but it works.

Cash Advance is another feature that I talked about a while back so no need repeating it here. It's available for those who need it but I agree with other sellers that it just seems like another tactic to squeeze money out of (desperate) sellers.

So that's my long winded way of asking, what's your favourite extra Fiverr feature and why? Was their any I missed? And which do you prefer using and or avoid at all cost?

(I excluded Advance Pay because it's a feature Fiverr STILL won't let me have and I'm spiteful. I'm level 2 and been here for 2 years, what more do you want Fiverr!? I been a good girl I swear!! 🥺🛐 I'll pay for Seller Plus if you let me have it!! Maybe 😂😅)

Sometimes I made order but he did not accept until we are done.

You are so lucky that you didn't get scammed, you have no idea.

A lot of buyers (*ahem* resellers) do that to make sure they can deliver your order to the final client and get it approved before paying you.

But this person seems benevolent, so I guess I'm happy you found a good person who pays you and adds tips for good measure (even though it seems like they're overworking you, but I digress).

Good job and keep up the good work!!👍🏽💖💫

Or is it? I am so confused. I guess I'll go back to the standard ones that I am used to.

Having a lot of trans friends who have gone or are going through several forms of transitions, I've had to hardwire my brain to use gender neutral language for large chunks of their transition while they figure themselves out. It's also really great in helping to avoid accidentally offending anyone on YouTube/Twitter since I'm terminally online and would very much like to avoid getting cancelled. (And that's even with 2 attempted cancellations under my belt!)

At this point I assume everyone is genderless until proven otherwise.

I use they/them when referring to anyone online until I'm sure of their gender (like, written proof on their profiles or in statements they've made or others have made to them). I've tried guessing and apparently I suck at it. Just because someone has a cute profile and feminine name doesn't mean it's a girl, and vice versa for guys. And it happened to me twice within two weeks of each other. So embarrassing 🤦🏽‍♀️😖

So I just stopped assuming. And because of that I've created scenarios where I never asked and I've now known people for 6 months to two years and I don't know their gender and I'm in too deep to ask. Please send help 😀

I start or end (in certain situations) written statements with "Dear/Good Sir, Madam, or Non-Binary person" or "great job dude, dudette, or anything in-between or outside!" and have been praised to high heaven for my inclusive language, even though I feel I shouldn't.

Is it bulkier and weights down a sentence? Yes. But if it gives someone peace of mind than its well worth it.

I'm being paid after all, who am I to argue with the customers wants 😅

  10. What I find highly funny and ironic here, is that everyone can agree that briefs suck.

So why are we all still fighting?

Can't we all just get along and hate Brief Matches together? 🥺💔❤‍🩹

  11. I placed a brief a while back and only got one response back from a Top Rated Seller.

I was surprised because I was sure I'd get flooded by responses like I usually would with Buyer Requests.

I guess the TRS was the only one to read my brief as all the others just deleted my offer. Or, maybe it didn't get sent out to that many people after all?

In any case I'm 0-0 in the Brief Matching section both as a seller AND a buyer now. (Things didn't work out with the TRS because, ironically, they weren't a good match)

  12. I doubt it's the buyer's fault, I have a 3 star rating somewhere in my reviews but that didn't hurt me in the long run.

If you feel things weren't fair you can tell customer support that a buyer made a wrong order and gave you a bad rating and see if they can remove it.

Next time you have problems like this, you can ask customer support to cancel your order and it won't affect your gig rating.

So sorry this is happening to you and I hope and pray things get better for you soon! 🕊️❤️

  13. First things first you need to calm down. I understand having a bad rating and low impression can be scary, but it's not the end of the world.

The Fiverr rating system changes/resets every 3 months (or 6, I don't really remember right now).

Deleting your account and starting a new one is highly unadvisable, because a) It's kinda against the rules. And b) It will be harder to get orders and start from the ground up again because competition is so high on the platform right now.

Despite your current rating you will still get new orders, and low ranking gig status is very normal as well. Fiverr tends to rotate seller gigs and recommends others at the top of search ranking from time to time to keep things fair. They might just not be showing/recommending you right now but they will again because EVERYONE gets a spotlight at the top!

Hope this helps and I hope you have a great day! Keep up the good work! 💝

Then I tried to get CS to tell me if it was forbidden for buyers to ask for those samples (considering that Fiverr's ToS strongly recommends to sellers never to start working before the order was actually placed), and they told me that no, it wasn't forbidden.

From what I gather, giving samples is fine. Completing the whole thing is a definite no-no.

    7 hours ago, shalock said:

Well, I mean to ask for a complete job in the like of "do all this and then, if I like it, I'll place an order and buy it". As far as I know, that kind of behavior goes against the ToS and the way the platform works.

Asking for a sample is different, however, I've never given a free sample as I think that it will encourage in some buyers a the impression that they can get things for free. The only exception I do is with buyers that I've worked before when they ask for a small favor or a quick test of concept.

    Yeah, I wholeheartedly get this.

But on the other hand I still make exceptions, like with my voice acting gig, to send like a one sentence sample to buyers just to get my foot in the door. It works a lot of the time, and it saves me the headache of buyers being confused that my voice "doesn't match what they envisioned or thought". (As if that's my fault that they didn't listen to the 2 dozen + audio samples I have listed up, but that's a rant for another day.)

The sad reality of the situation is that a lot of these scammers are just unemployed guys (and gals) from poor countries with nothing better to do and have been promised by a fake YouTube "millionaire" that Fiverr is nothing but a "get-rich-quick scheme" and if you game the system, you can be a millionaire overnight.

So they flock to the website like hungry droves to try and squeeze even if it's 5 bucks off any unsuspecting buyer.

Because a long time ago I was talking in the forum how I wasn't trying to make a big deal out of a $10 order a bad buyer was trying to dupe me out of, but was aware I was privileged enough to think that way because $10 is practically someone's monthly salary where I'm from. And another user/seller threw it back in my face that that was barely enough to get their coffee.

Talk about a callous and harsh reality check.

So as much as I hate them, I don't want to fully blame them. Because what lengths would you go to to dig and claw your way out of abject poverty?

Please search "Character Animation" on Fiverr for example. You will come across a lot of scam gigs very early on page 2, along with videos from Hollywood and Pixar and Japanese anime! Something that they obviously doesn't own and have no right to upload as their work samples!

This is what irks me the most! I once saw someone who stole another artist's work on Instagram and foolishly left the watermark in the image. I went to tell the artist and they tried to get the sellers gig removed and it seems all they did was remove the sellers image and put another one. Seemed to be a Disney animators portfolio reel.

It's heartbreaking because these people are charging hundreds of dollars on work they fully intend to steal!

I just started offering 3D artwork services because I believe I could make some income with my newfound skills and I'm RIDDLED with messages from bottom of the barrel bottom feeders requesting I do hours of work and submit it first before they graciously decide to pay me.

In a purely ironic twist of faith, they created a system where they are scamming one another where they get sales from unsuspecting buyers and then try to pawn it off to others and only request the work first before payment so as to make sure they get the right product from the other scammers and not lose out on the potential buyer's money. Did that not make a lick of sense? EXACTLY!!

There whole process is asinine and I can't wait till they're all kicked from the platform.

They are a pure utter disgrace to the platform and I hate sharing gig space with them!

And don't get me started on new sellers flooding my inbox asking me to "help" or "share my gigs" with them.

*Furiously screams into a pillow from abject frustration*

  16. Buyer Requests are gone!? Oh no!!

Now where am I to go when I need to laugh at people's utterly ridiculous buyer requests!? 😭🤣

But on a serious note, I noticed buyer requests haven't updated for me for a while and came here to find out what was going on. Good to know that useless feature is now gone and removed.

It might help one or two times to get orders, but it was massively filled with spam from BOTH buyers and sellers.

Hope the new feature works better. But for now all the matches I get aren't a good fit at all!!

There is no pressure to pay the cash advance, especially since no interest is charged. You pay with your future earnings, that is, for every sale you make as a Fiverr seller, 40% of its post-tax value is used to pay Fiverr until the cash advance is paid in full. If you don’t make any sales, you don’t pay anything on the cash advance.

"If you don’t make any sales, you don’t pay anything on the cash advance. "

I can see someone, definitely not me, just taking the money and running. Quitting the platform altogether and saying they *technically* didn't get any more sales so they don't have to pay anything back.

Fiverr should really pick their words carefully here.

try to sort your financials and don't rely on third parties to offer you money as a loan.

That the main crux for me. I don't really need it right now. (I desperately did a few weeks ago.)

I have a bunch of offers paying me out today and in 3 days times, so I'm good. I just find it odd Fiverr has this feature considering the type of sellers that roam around the platform. Also just wanted to have a casual conversation about it.
