  1. This is insane!! I loved this concept and thank you Fiverr.

One thing I would like to suggest to Fiverr that " Please reduce the pending clearance period. Because 14 days is too much longer period for sellers."

I hope the Fiverr seller community will be agreed with me.

    Happy Freelancing! ✌️

Because 14 days is too much longer period for sellers.

No it is not. It is same as with regular salary. You do not get it immediately but according to law they have 15 days in next month to give you salary.

Maybe in your country you get salary for this month on the last day of the month but in Europe (most countries) salary is paid around mid of next month. So “waiting period” 15 days.

  2. So after about 5 days of being on the promoted gigs, I got a message that I could promote an additional gig. So I added another gig.

After starting the promoted gigs I have about 65 impressions, 15 clicks and no orders from the promotions. However, the promotions can be on the same page as your organic impression so I think it gives the orders an increase just by your gigs appearing twice as much.

Some gigs literally 4-5 on the first page.

I have never scene the AD badge anywhere on any gig though that is still a mystery. Does anyone have a screenshot of that?

It makes me wonder who are the people clicking on the Ads? They must be new buyers who don’t want to take the time to search properly for what they need.

Just wondering what other seller feedback is.

Hi. I was just shocked to receive message:

    image.png.b187810150c9e8c2f9cd945d133ca896.png

I have been level two for less then a month and I do not think any of my GIGs qualifies for promotion so I just wanted to share how it was completely unexpected to get this.

I am kinda scared now since they give me option to promote my two gigs that are already on first page all the time.

I have like 13 clicks a days without promotion, and being on first page so i do not want to risk anything with promoting them.

  4. your think is good but new sellers will not get any single order because this feature will use Level 2 Sellers or above and They will catch all new clients so, I think they will catch 70% clients and 30% clients will choose new sellers due to low budget

Not true. Just 2 hours ago we had new seller on forum talking about how she got 85 orders in two months.

So it is possible. We just have no idea how.

  5. I took a break from Fiverr for two months and now they have: a new logo, new font, analytics are back, there’s almost paid promotion for the average seller. Is there anything else I missed?

You missed coerdelion profile photo is so different I can’t even function properly on forum.

It used to be face with mask you can spot from miles away, and pretty mighty looking for forum MOD. Now it has flowers. Always surprised to see it.

But, PROMOTION AD, so basically ADs are there, they do not have nay mark, when you hover they do not get promoted tag, and no one sees them but they are there, and you pay for them.

We are still waiting for mass number of sellers to come and give feedback of huge increase in sales.

  6. Sellers with no level are labeled as “New Seller” on Fiverr. This is first time I saw some gigs with no label on them about seller level.

Oh, there are glitches all over happening, some even go by without noticing. Like most of the links on forum main site lead not to fiver site but to event.fiverr site, and that site all links where dead.

    Now it is fixed.

  7. Can anyone tell me the seller level of this gig? This is the very first gig when I searched the keywords “Logo”. I can see other gigs as well with no seller level.

He has no level. And yes he is on the first page. GIG description is superb, filled with best SEO stuff and using only 4 out of 5 tags seems to work marvelously in Fiverr algorithm.

This is what I get when I search custom logo.

Please note that the first seller no where in his GIG, description, title, tags, anywhere mentions “custom logo” in any way shape or form.

  8. Acutely there is an option in OOO for “overbooked”, every time i used OOO in past gigs stays stable and this time is different, i think they change something in the algorithm in last update

Oh, they definitely changed things during GIG analytics N/A time.

Never in last three years when I searched for logo have I got full first page filled with TRS and PRo sellers.

I monitor that section frequently and what is happening in last week never happened before, not even rotation of gigs is the same. I know what sellers are always on first page. Now it is completely different story.

Plus you have a large amount of Level 2 sellers with ability to use promotion. I bet at least 10000 is using that so the competition is crazy. Your gig could be on page 40 or even further.

  9. We are not on same road, i activate OOO because i was overbooked with orders, just wanted to mention how hard it can affect on gig position in search.

i activate OOO because i was overbooked

Then I do not understand. oOO is not to be used for this purpose. For that we have limit the number of orders. oOO means to Fiverr you are not available to work, at all.

In 2014 you had 29-50000 designers in competition, today you have over 180000. There are no second chances in logo design today on Fiverr. You drop the ball once and it is going to collapse majorly.

I am actually thinking of deleting both of my logo gigs since that section is going bananas.

  10. Everyone?

If you are out of office there is no point to Fiverr to show your gigs to anyone.

Once you are back it will take some time to get the ranking but it will happen eventually.

Most of the sellers who used OOO claim it took some time to get same level, but it went back for all.

  11. in the category where one of my gig is allowed to be promoted, Fiverr suggest me starting bidding price = 0.11$. I placed at 0.70$ but it got few impressions.

Since i don’t see the ad anywhere on the platform, i don’t understand where Fiverr promote the gig. It looks like this is a beta test and Fiverr show ads randomly somewhere to somebody ( only they know ) , not truly buyers. They are testing how system works and how seller play with their bidding price.

    Good question.

Can anyone post screenshot of the AD on the actual Fiverr main site?

I haven’t seen any, not one single GIG labeled AD and I searched incognito, public, logged in.

  12. I placed a $5 order and paid the $2 service fee. Then in the course of my work on this order, we agreed that I would pay him an extra $5. Guess what? Fiverr charged me the $2 again! What is the point of having a company where the majority of the buyer community is going to be pissed about their policies.

What is the point of having a company

The fees are clear and In the TOS that you read and accept when signing on the site.

This post is over 2 years old.

If tips did not have a percentage then everyone would be selling for 5 and asking XXX in tips.

If you are a business owner how do you make money? By providing service for free or by charging for your services. Fiverr is a website. Someone has to maintain it, have customer service, domain, cloud, storage etc. Bills, utilities, all of this costs money. If they do not charge sellers and buyers for using their site, how will they continue to work?

You paid 14$ the seller got 8$ Fiverr got 6$.

You could look for someone to do this and pay him 8$ but you have no protection what so ever.

Your 14$ is much more than just what the seller gave you, the extra is service by the Fiverr.

  13. It’s very unsettling. This makes it ripe for scammers to get work done for free. I’m not sure I want to continue with Fiverr anymore if they aren’t stepping up to protect sellers.

I’m not sure I want to continue with Fiverr anymore

It is not going to change.

What I noticed and it seems to work, I offer client a 5$ or 10$ sample. He pays me for my time and works to produce a sample. If he likes the sample then we switch to the mayor order. If he doesn’t like the sample have a nice day. I got paid for what I did.

Make the basic gig package a sample.

  14. If you search forum, you will find a lot A LOT of topics from sellers just like you experiencing the same thing. Even TRS and PRO are experiencing this on their 1000$+ GIGS.

Just recently PRO seller was taken by 800$ profit due to buyer asking for cancellation.

For this reason, I treat some of my buyers as 5-year old kids. With respect, of course, but mentality of a 5-year old. I repeat over and over what I do, what is offered what is included and only to accept offer or make order if they understand what I have typed.
I even make remark couple of times to indicate I am female. You would be surprised how many order VO without listening to samples.

You have seller that does German CV, it is clearly stated in his GIG title, description and order, but every week he has cancellations due to people ordering and demanding English. He went from level two to zero due to that.

  15. Yes we’re seeing the same amount of TRS on first page but the gigs are different.

No. My snapshot is showing identical TRS sellers as on yours, I only took screenshot on my Portrait laid out monitor so it is 3 in row not 4.

  16. Yes everyone will see different results.

I see the same thing for her category as she is saying.

And you see exactly the same as I am seeing in my category (logo).

    A whole lot of TRS.

So we are not seeing differently.

  17. Though his gig should still appear on the first page if it did before and just below the promoted gigs probably if it’s rank stays the same.

That’s exactly what I was talking about. I don’t think the sponsored gigs will receive an extra spot in the rankings but separetly somewhere. Not sure where but I don’t think they will touch the search results but rather put those gigs somewhere you can see them if you click on the respective category for example. Or on the main page, I don’t know.

Not sure where but I don’t think they will touch the search results

Logos are my main service and I check them every day. Never in the last 6 month has Logo design section had first three pages filled with TRS. Maybe 5-10 max, but never all over the pages.

Today is the first day I am even seeing some of the TRS, they used to be on page 10-20.

  18. I think he means if his gig was already at the top before the promoted feature was added, other people will now be able to promote their gigs so that they will now be at the top spot, so his gig will now be shown lower down than other gigs, unless he pays to use gig promotion.

edit: Though his gig should still appear on the first page if it did before and just below the promoted gigs probably if it’s rank stays the same.

Also (nothing to do with that) there’s a mistake in the help page for promoted gigs where it says which categories can be promoted. It says:

    • Logo Design
    • Business Cards & Stationery
    • Illustration
    • Vector Tracking

Promoting in logo category if you are not desperate is pure waste of money. I just went there and the first page is TRS Bonanaza:

Time to delete Logo GIGs, New sellers and Level one.

EDIT: found two New sellers (no level) in the mix of TRS first five pages. Both joined in July 2020 and have 7 orders in queue, 9 and 14 delivered so far.

  19. So the question is: If the recommendation is $0.38, why i’m paying $0.51 in auction?

Somebody else (the 2nd top bidder?) probably bid $0.51 (or $0.50?). You won the bid with your $1.00 bid so maybe you pay the bid of the 2nd top bidder (or maybe $0.01 more than it?).

Promoted Gigs are based on a “Second Price Auction” process, which means that while the Gig with highest Ad rank wins, the price that is charged from the Seller upon click on his ad equals to the minimum bid necessary for the Seller to maintain their winning position in the auction (which is determined in relation to all other bidders). In other words, Sellers may pay less than their actual bids.

words words I need math 😃

So seller A is on top, max bid 0,52$

Seller B bids 1$. Now he is on top.

Seller B wins and every time someone clicks his account is charged 0,53$ ( o.o1 more than second guy in the auction).

    Correct.

    so formula is

    A bids X

    B bids X+Y

B wins and gets charged X+0,01$
