  1. Thank you everyone for your support! I've been super busy this week. Usually I keep on top of it. I guess the AI grading bot didn't know they were spam messages, so I'll have to keep on top of it in the future.
  2. Fiverr is so unfair at times. I received two spam messages this week and marked accordingly, but since I took so long to do that, I went down to an 89% response rate. Because of that they have informed me that I have lost my Level Two Badge, after 12 years of being on here. All other stats were 100%. I'm also shocked that failure to respond quickly to two messages (I need to sleep 8 hours!) would even get me down to 89%. But keep in mind that I only get about 17 orders a week now, so that may account for a bigger impact on my response rate. I've literally earned this company 6 figures of income and this is what they do to me. I guess they don't want another 6 figures of income from me.
  3. I couldn't have said it better than the O.P. It's funny how people are so entitled. If it were that easy, we'd all be millionaires! I'm also so tired of the scammers and spammers messaging me. The only reason I have been staying on Fiverr is so I can fill up a few hours of my time each week. So yes, Fiverr is a hobby site. I would never direct my real clients here!
  4. Yes, good tip. I updated my gig when Fiverr said I should and now I'm only getting a few regular clients. Wish I could go back.
  5. There are about four other threads on this topic. The answer is yes, it's a slow time for everyone. I even checked my competitors and they aren't getting orders either. It's also a hard time for people. Gas, groceries, rent, etc have all gone up, so many small businesses are simply doing their own work now. This is a great time for us to update our gigs. Good luck!
  6. Yes, same problem for me. I also check my competition and they’re not getting orders either.
  7. Yes, good point, Fiverr is my landlord. Well, the good news is that I made my 6 figures outside of Fiverr too. It's just sad that I've been transitioning out of this website and onto better things. I would have loved to have stayed here and made Fiverr even more money, but they don't need me.
  8. I was thinking something similar this week. Besides my current clients who still place orders, I have had ZERO new clients for several months now. I realize that writing is a competitive field and I am going to edit my gigs, but Fiverr has made 5-Figures of income from me since I joined in 2014 and has offered zero help or a boost.
  9. Same thing has happened to me. Unfortunately, we have 1 million competitors on here. There are no tricks. If you can retain clients, that's the best option. It's also summer which tends to slow down too.
  10. May and June are always slow seasons for me. Website store owners must go on vacation at this time of year. Don't worry, it will get busier by July.
  11. I’m from Canada and had to fill out tax forms to sell my books on Amazon and Smashwords. I’ll wait and see if I have to do it again. It was a minor inconvenience.
  12. I always respond. As a test I ignored the spam and now I’m down to 90% response rate. So yes, respond first, then report and ban.
  13. You know what’s really funny? When the scammer sends you a long brief about the project, before disappearing. I’m a writer so I’m like, “Hey, thank you so much for your wonderful ideas! Now I can use your ideas for my own blog or another client.” Hee hee hee! (Just kidding, I’m not using anyone else’s ideas, but if you’re a buyer, you should be careful to not share your ideas with other writers.)
  14. Correct answer! We work for fiverr, we aren’t freelancers or have clients. Simply report your income on your personal income tax form.
  15. Some people are crazy! I’d hate to work at a real job with someone like that.
  16. Some other signs I’ve had: They say that they’ve worked with others on Fiverr and the work was terrible, so they hope you’ll do better. They don’t fill in all the order details.Within seconds of delivery, they are hitting that revision button saying they don’t like your work. They ask for samples. They complain about your pricing. They don’t read your gig and message you several times with questions that are in your gig. They mention they work with a client. They say there are spelling and grammatical errors in your delivery, but fail to answer when you ask them what they mean.Stay safe everyone!
  17. Excellent post! I have samples on my gig anyway, and redirect people to there. I do NOT do free samples.
