tylerullery
I have never promoted myself on social media sites for fiverr. You need tp make sure your gig description answer 3 big questions. What is $5, Why should I buy extras, and What is needed from me as a buyer. Make sure your description looks tidy and not randomized. Use a high quality image and keep everything to the point. When I was starting out it was 5 months before I ever got my first order but, then I got my first order and everything kicked off from there. This is a marketplace and like all marketplaces it takes the right person to see it at the right time. Good luck to you.

shineris
I answered an almost same question here: http://forum.fiverr.com/discussion/50133/there-is-a-big-problem-for-new-sellers-to-get-their-first-sell-#Item_4Have a look. Maybe you can use something from there.
