The Problem:
Despite having an order page and Dashboard to manage live orders, many customers prefer to communicate through the inbox, turning it into a de facto dashboard for sellers. Tracking customer interactions, order statuses, and revisions can become challenging solely through the inbox. While redirecting customers to the order page is an option, it can sometimes come across as rude. Sometimes customers find inbox quick and convenient therefore they ask for revision through the inbox . So to manage and track the status of customers in the inbox many sellers resort to using LABELS and STAR to categorize and manage customer conversations based on order status.

What We Already Have:
-The option to star messages has been immensely helpful for quick identification and filtering of important conversations. But we only have ONE Star feature...
-On the other hand we have LABELS. The current labeling system presents limitations. Before opening a message, only one small label icon is visible. This means that if multiple labels are assigned to a conversation, they remain unseen until the message is opened.
This makes it challenging for sellers to manage customer interactions effectively.

Solution/Suggestion:

1-Label Improvement: Enhancing the label feature by allowing sellers to see labels before opening messages would greatly improve inbox management. Drawing inspiration from the IOS application version, where labels are visible before opening conversations, would provide sellers with a clearer overview of their inbox and enable more efficient customer communication.

2- More Graphical label/Badge like stars: T
here is a need for more graphical labeling options beyond just stars, such as tick marks, cross marks, or other visual indicators, to further enhance inbox organization and efficiency.

3- Private Notes: Another valuable feature that could enhance seller productivity is the ability to add private notes. This feature would allow sellers to save specific information about customers separately, facilitating better organization and tracking of important details.

4-Threads: I
ntroducing the option to start a new thread based on specific topics or services would streamline communication and collaboration, making it easier for sellers to manage inquiries and provide targeted support.(Inspired by Slack)

Conclusion: As a seasoned Top Rated Seller on Fiverr for over 10 years, I've identified key features based on my own needs. These include graphical labeling options, private notes, and the ability to start threads based on specific topics or services. Implementing these features would not only enhance my workflow but also benefit sellers across the platform, enabling better organization and management of client interactions.

Moreover, integrating these tools would aid in categorizing the sales cycle of customers, enabling a more efficient funnel approach to client management.

What are your thoughts?

New Suggestion: A separate section to see all shared files and images with a user. This will save hundreds of minutes when searching for a previously shared screenshot.

Beyond bringing anything resembling Slack into the picture (please don't) I think these are good ideas. Labels and private notes are great ideas that would make things easier for sellers. With that said, I don't see how it can be rude to ask the buyer to communicate on the order page as they should. If you end up in a dispute, it's easier to have everything in one place. But I wish they would add more inbox-like messaging system for the order page. I've mentioned it in my meetings with product managers at Fiverr, but so far, crickets.
