The fact that the gig is unfinished (Premium shows N/A) could be making people skeptical of your ability to finish a task, and decide against you.
But as well, there's a lot of stuff going on in the gig that muddies the water. Like, at a glance I was confused that you were offering writing help here on the forum but it looked like you only had an editing gig. I had to stop and re-read the gig. The writing needs to be a separate gig. The gig page a chaotic, unfinished jumble. It needs a lot of polish work.

Hi I do writing and editing. Combining my writing and editing into one gig isn’t a good idea though? I want everything to be centralized. The reason Premium is as is is because I don’t want a Premium option but it appears it’s mandatory, hence why it’s posted as is. Other than that, what else do you notice needs improvement?

I appreciate your feedback.

Hey! Honestly, I would make two different gigs - one for editing and one for writing. While I see why you think it makes sense to combine them, I think it's a lot better to be more clear.

As a writer, for the premium tier I just add a package with more words. I personally think having the N/A there especially is a bit off. Have you looked around in your niche / in general? Check out how the gigs that are selling well in editing / blog writing are structured and don't be afraid to niche down. I understand why people think that the broader range of services you offer, the better, but on here being able to specialise in certain areas seems to work better. We are all up against pretty tough competition, so we all have to stand out somehow.

Give your gig(s) a bit more thought! You have the skills, you just need to tailor the way you sell it to this specific marketplace.

Hi @jakekamin, with all of the experience you have, I would want to see more of your written work on your portfolio. Show your expertise more than talk about it. You get 2 PDFs on each gig and you can use that to show off your work. If you can't share your work, create your portfolio from scratch. I was able to get orders as a newbie because buyers would look at my portfolio and could see the quality of my work. Even when I had very few reviews.

I would also follow @moikchap and @katakatica's tips that they gave you in another thread to add the premium service to your gig. It really isn't hard to add - I have my three packages controlled by word count (250, 500, and 1,000 words). This makes you look more professional and then you could spend more time writing more compelling gig descriptions that show off your writing skills.

Try also to have different gig videos to differentiate what you offer in each gig.

So you think that will be the difference maker?

You currently show your buyer nothing, so you don't have any credibility. You've got to gain the trust of your buyers and you can do that with your portfolio samples and by putting a little bit more effort into your gigs. If I see someone who spent a lot of time setting up their gigs and have a cleverly written gig description (especially if they claim to be a writer), I would consider using their services. Unfortunately on Fiverr, there are a lot of people who claim to be good writers on their gigs but their actual writing is not good at all. So you have to prove yourself.

Fair enough. I appreciate your feedback!

Hi, just want to know if anyone has gotten someone to promote their gig (as I just did on Fiverr). If so, how long did it take to get some orders? Were you successful?

Hi too

If your gigs have potential to grab buyer's attention then you do not need any promoting medium (promoted gigs, social media marketing).. But unfortunately your gig images are not good enough to grab buyer's attention as you have used the same images for your both gigs. So you need to work on your gig images (portfolio)

About Promoted Gigs: Some sellers are doing well with it and some not.. So it depends how much your gigs have potential.. In my case, I have never done any promotion (SEO, Social Media Marketing, Promoted Gigs etc.. ) as I usually focus on improving Gig Images and Gig Descriptions as well..
