How do I find the buyers section, why is it so well hidden. Does it exist?

I was under the impression Fiverr was, at least partly, a place where you can search for people looking for someone to work.

I've spent the last half hour trying to find anything like this. Does it exist? Was I mistaken? I keep seeing references to "making a buy request" but absolutely no way to view other's requests.

 

I even made a buy request, and I can't even find where that went. what is going on with this site
