Can someone tell me about this Fiverr Feature

I was on my profile and I noticed that under ‘‘Set Availability’’ there its written

Enable new buyers on Fiverr to contact me
Maintain your response rate by making sure you can respond.

Can someone please explain what is this? What’s the use of it?

set availability mainly is new form of out of office. If you go on vacation or unavailable you can use it. But when you enable the option new buyer can contact you, it can decrease your respond rate as your may be not reply them for having a vacation. But if you ensure that you can reply them you can enable it.

It’s a new one on me. I just ticked to see if it makes any difference.

If I get hit with nothing but more people expecting a $5 Ferrari I will turn it off. Honestly, I expect no difference. We shall see.

That indicates to me that what that button suggests is that if you have generally set yourself out of office, you can sill be open to receiving messages to talk about possible jobs.
