Fiverr login on second hand phone

Hi,
So I’m going to buy a phone from a friend but the problem is he is also a Fiverr user, I don’t exactly know what services he offers but he used to login in the app on that phone.
And I obviously want to login my account in the phone after I buy it, I need to ask how should I proceed? Will the factory reset help?
