What do buyers WANT?
Hello everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your summer! Today I want to take a deep dive into one of the most interesting questions: What do buyers want? . As we all know, most of our buyers are not designers without any prior knowledge of design. But what they do know is that they need a logo that would represent them and their business in the best way possible. Some of them take inspiration from other brands in their industry, some of them want something completely different, and some of them use the literal meaning of their brand name.
Our job in the logo maker is to do everything we can in order to match their expectations.
Let's look at a few examples of logos bought by buyers and analyze them, shall we? Keep in mind that we can not expose real business names for legal reasons. But all other elements are true to the source.
1. Healthy Being Logo by @dimitrije_

What made this perfect match possible?
Industry: Health and wellness industry was tagged in both the brief and the logo Keyword: Nature was tagged in both the brief and the logo
Interestingly enough, we recently posted about the tag “Nature” & the industries that are searched within it (link here).” Health & Wellness” was one of the top industries searched. We discussed the fact that Logos need to be simple and clean with one or two elements. @dimitrije_ has listened–  and there you go! A logo was purchased.
Why does this logo match the chosen industry? This logo matches a holistic medicine business perfectly because It is simple, calming and earthy. The green shade chosen is soft and inviting. The hand drawn style that uses thin gentle lines is soft. The font chosen matches the symbol perfectly, and it appears that the same hand drew both. I don’t know about you, but I would definitely use their service, as they gained my trust. If they chose this logo, I think I can trust that they know what they are doing.

2. Designer Clothes Logo by @reve_line_d

What made this perfect match possible?
Brief Industry: Retail & Wholesale Logo industry: Wine Shop, a child industry of Retail & Wholesale Keyword: Vintage was tagged both in brief and logo. Additional keywords in brief: antique, home decor,Candles, books, dark academia, maximalism, moody, dark, witchy adventure, treasure Vintage was also chosen as a style.
Why does this logo match this industry? This is a great example of a logo for a home decor business. Vintage style, with all of its elegant lines and curves, gives a sense of elegance and tradition with a sense of royalty and style. The logo sets the expectation for the furniture found in the store. They should be stylish, sophisticated, and with a traditional touch. While most buyers enter 3 keywords at best, the buyer entered 12 keywords. This is a buyer that knows what he wants and is full of ideas. He was clearly drawn to vintage style, as even his other keywords (dark, moody, candles, treasure) describe a vintage kind of mood.

3. Food Market Logo by @ambodo

What made this perfect match possible? Industry: Food festival was tagged both in brief and in logo Keyword: Farm was tagged both in brief and in logo Additional keywords in brief: turnip, radish Additional industry in brief: Food & beverage, food manufacturing
Why does this logo match this industry? This logo is a great logo for a food market. The layout suggests that the vegetables are fresh and locally grown. The drawing style looks like it can be taken from a children's book or a fairytale, evoking the imagination of the viewer. The lines are hand drawn and gentle, and the font chosen added a sense of elegance. The monotone color is a good choice because the logo is very detailed. Since it is a logo for a market, it is safe to assume that it would be printed in a large format, therefore, a lot of details is a good fit.
4. Army style Training logo by @shamlirotem

What made the perfect match possible? Industry in brief: Sports & fitness Keyword: Skull both in brief and in logo Additional keywords in brief: Lion, Black ops, Military, Bear, Ruck,

What made this perfect match possible? I must admit, this brief was a little harder for me to understand. At first I thought, what does it have to do with sports & fitness? But then I did a little research, and apparently army style training is a trend that usually can’t be found in a regular gym.
It seems like this buyer knew what he wanted, and had his own interpretation of the military/ fitness logo, so he did not use obvious elements within the industry. One of the keywords searched is a video game called “Black Ops” , a fighting game with some skull images associated with it, so that might explain the skull.  He wanted a really cool skull logo, and he found the perfect one. I really love this interpretation of a skull and feel that it will give the training business the cool “don’t mess with me” vibe that he might be looking for.
4. Clothing line logo by @vanadium1st

What made the perfect match possible? Industry in brief: Fashion & Apparel Keyword  in brief: Cherries Keyword in logo: Cherry
What made this perfect match possible? The buyer of this logo was so specific and he wanted one element only: Cherries. Being very specific helps a lot with our algorithm. When it comes to Fashion brands, we see all sorts of objects in logos. A lot of fashion designers really put their personality into their brand, and they do so with the logo as well. In this case, the element has nothing to do with the industry nor is it drawn in a vintage style like the brand name suggests. But the outlined drawing combined with the vibrant color and retro font, it works!

I hope you found these briefs helpful! I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions
